These apartments, with hot and cold air conditioning, have been furnished to a high standard. Situated in a private complex, the apartments enjoy magnificent sea views.
These are the details for the ground-floor apartment. Please refer to Home No. 6298 for the first-floor apartment.
In the ground-floor apartment, the good-sized bedroom contains three single beds, a large wardrobe, two large open shelves, a chest of drawers, two bedside cabinets and three wall lights. There is a safe permanently fitted for the use of guests. The lounge has two large bed settees each comprising one static and one pull-out bed (these can be used as singles or doubles), a coffee table, dining table and chairs, t.v. and d.v.d. player on a beautiful, traditional, Spanish-style dresser. There is a traditional, Spanish-style drawer unit under the worktop facing out into the lounge. A large, free-standing fan stands in the corner of the lounge. The open-plan kitchen area comprises fitted cupboards, breakfast bar, fridge, washing machine, four-ring halogen hob with cooker hood over, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee, tea and sugar canisters. We have provided a fire extinguisher in the kitchen and we have also installed a smoke alarm and emergency light (automatically lights up in event of power failure) in the apartment. The bathroom has a built-in sink with marble surround and large, illuminated mirror over, toilet, bidet, full-size bath with shower over. There are white aluminium shutters fitted to the patio doors and windows.

The Ibiza region
--Ibiza--
The Island of the Pines, also known as "Isla Blanca" - the "White Island", Ibiza has become well known for its lively nightclub scene, especially around the area of San Antonio. However, the island has so much more to offer. There are many quiet, picturesque resorts offering safe, sandy beaches and a friendly relaxed atmosphere for families and couples. Sightseeing is also popular on the island, in particular old Ibiza Town (approx. 26km/16 miles), with its fine historic buildings surrounded by ancient ramparts, originally built as a defence against pirates.
--Es Cana--
A very beautiful, long-established families/couples resort with a really friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The clean, sandy, horseshoe-shaped bay has the Blue Flag award for cleanliness and has natural shade provided by the many, fragrant pine trees. Just around the corner is Cala Nova beach, which has also been awarded the coveted Blue Flag award.
The area is reasonably flat, with access to the small town via a wide, flat pedestrian track behind the beach or via the main road which is on an uphill slope. Nearby is the Roca Llisa golf course near Cala Llonga, with a 9 hole course, an 18 hole course, a driving range and bar.
Es Cana area
There is a regular Hippy Market every Wednesday, for which Es Cana is famed throughout the island. Parasailing, jetskis and banana boat rides are all available from the harbour end of the beach. Pedaloes are on hire from either end of the beach. Sun beds and parasols are available for hire along the length of the beach. There is a large, cordoned off area of the bay which is exclusively for swimmers and children. The Blue Flag beach is very clean with soft sand which slopes gently into the warm, clear blue waters. A second Blue Flag beach, Cala Nova, is just around the corner. Travel into Santa Eulalia (only 1.10 euros each on the regular, half-hourly bus service) for a much larger shopping area and visit the harbour to see the large array of boats and yachts moored there. Alternatively, take a taxi for approximately 6 euros or the ferry from Es Cana harbour for the same price. Travel up to Portinax and visit its famed beaches. Go to San Antonio (if you have the energy!!) for the fast-paced nightlife or else just sit back, relax and enjoy the slower pace of life in beautiful Es Cana.

--Climate and Weather on Ibiza-- Summer here is hot and dry and temperatures can rise to over 30C in July, August and September, with water temperatures of 25 - 27C.
The average daytime temperature from November to April is around 15C but, when the sun comes out, this can climb quite rapidly to 25C.
--Getting there-- Es Cana is 16 miles northeast of Ibiza town, 3 miles from Santa Eulalia and 18 miles from the airport at San Jose. During the summer there are regular bus and ferry services available to and from both Santa Eulalia and Ibiza Town. Fly to Ibiza Airport and hire a car or go by taxi to Es Cana.

You can also get a flight to mainland Spain or Palma in Majorca and then catch a connecting flight to Ibiza - useful out of season as direct flights from the U.K. to Ibiza currently operate only from May to October.

How to get there
Fly to Ibiza airport then take taxi to Es Cana (approximately 20-30 minutes by taxi). Depending on time of day, taxi transfer from approximately 35 euros each way per taxi. Alternatively, car hire is readily available.

Further details outdoors: Private terrace/patio area complete with round patio table and chairs, fitted concertina clothes dryer/airer and exterior cupboard and storage box containing cleaning equipment, inflatable dinghy, large rubber ring, float tubes etc. A battery-operated pump and a foot pump are provided for use with beach/sea inflatables (the pumps are kept inside the apartment).
The beautiful communal swimming pool is in a seafront position and has ample sunbeds and parasols.
Further details
There are numerous hotels, bars, shops and supermarkets very close by. You can choose to be completely self-catering or you can go into the hotels and bars to purchase your meals. We often buy our meals at The Miami Hotel (next door to the apartment) where a buffet (eat and drink as much as you like) breakfast costs approx. 7.50 euros each and a buffet dinner (again, as much as you want but without drinks) costs 10 euros per head. You can go into any of the hotels for drinks and entertainment. The Mar Bella Bar and Restaurant facing the beach is highly recommended.
Cleaning and linen change* at the end of your holiday is included in the price. If you book for two weeks, a mid-term towel and linen change* is also included but not an apartment clean. Any further maid service required will be charged at an extra rate to be agreed. We request that you refrain from using any of the extra bedlinen or towels left in the apartment as they are for future guests. If you cannot avoid using extras, you may launder and iron them yourself or leave them for the cleaners who will advise me of the extra cost incurred, which will then be deducted from the security deposit. The charge for additional linen change and laundering is £10 per person. A deposit of 25% is required on booking and the balance is payable 10 weeks before departure, or immediately if booking is made less than 10 weeks before departure date. A refundable security deposit of £200.00 is required against breakages and damage - this will be refunded within 10 days of receipt by us of the apartment keys, providing our agent has found everything to be in order after checking the apartment inventory.
*Please note that rental cost and inclusive towel and linen change is for a max. of five guests only. If you wish to have a sixth person in the apartment, then extra charges will apply.

Es Cana's main holiday season is from May to October. During November to April the resort is very quiet with only a small number of bars and shops open. However, from February more bars and shops start to open up as some of the larger hotels open up again in February. Whenever you decide to go the town of Santa Eulalia is only a 10 minute bus or taxi ride away and is open all year round.
The apartment sleeps 1 - 5 people (6th person at additional pro-rata charge) - no surcharges for under-occupancy.
Payment in sterling please. 25% deposit payable on booking. Balance due no less than 10 weeks before start of holiday.
Refundable security deposit of £200.00 per one or two week booking against damage and/or breakages -payable with balance.

We have just arrived back from a fantastic holiday in Ibiza. The apartment is lovely, a home from home! To be honest we have all been that chilled out that we didn't even send any postcards, it just seemed too much effort. Our only daily worry has been a) where to go for lunch and b) where to go for our evening meal! We enjoyed everything about the holiday so much that we would all like to go again next year; hopefully when we have some dates we will be able to stay in the same apartment. The apartment was exceedingly well equipped! You have thought of everything!Thank you for providing such first class accommodation! 3.6.08 We think both apartments are really great, with a slight preference for the first floor apartment. Elaine has always been very helpful and organised, and the apartments are well maintained. The standard of decor and furnishings is far better than we'd ever expect to get through a package holiday, and being able to organise exactly the dates we want is an extra bonus. The apartment pool is pleasant and normally quite quiet, although perversely the children like the busier pools nearby at the Miami Apartments and Hotel. It's nice being so near the beaches, and the Marbella restaurant. Having been three times in just over a year, we're still hoping to come back again, and would happily recommend the apartments to friends and family. Tony and Joan.

7.8.08 We have now visited Es Cana twice and have loved both holidays. The apartment is fantastic and has everything that a family with kids could need. The DVD player and washing machine are life savers! We loved the views from the balcony especially when we had our breakfast every morning. The pool area is fantastic and so quiet and Jack loved learning to swim in there. Es Cana is a lovely resort for families with a great beach and a wide choice of places to eat and drink. Having such a good apartment has made both our holidays to Es Cana so much easier as it has taken the stress out of hot afternoons and early evenings. It has been very easy organising the apartment with Elaine who has always been friendly and very helpful. We would look forward to going again in the near future. The swimming pool which was luxuriously empty and relaxing with spectacular views of the sea was loved by all of us. The apartment was home from home, spacious and spotless.
