About the home

A lovely seafront apartment, ideal for couples and families, enjoys a spectacular sea view. In an excellent location situated on the second floor in a nice complex with communal swimming and paddling pools, away from traffic yet only metres from two sandy beaches, cafes and shops.

The apartment benefits from new superior quality hot/cold air conditioning. The fully furnished lounge/dining room has a double sofa bed, a large pouffe that converts to a single bed, coffee table, sideboard, dining table and chairs. television, dvd player and Hi fi that plays radio, cd´s, tapes and has an Ipod / mp3 jack.

Sliding glass patio doors lead to a private balcony with table and chairs and sofa to enable dining and relaxation overlooking the sea.

The kitchen area has fitted cupboards and worktops, ceramic hob with cooker hood over, microwave, refrigerator with ice box, washing machine, kettle, coffee maker and toaster. There is also an iron, ironing board and hairdryer. The fully equipped tiled bathroom has a bath with shower over, w.c., bidet, and wash basin with illuminated mirror. The large bedroom, also with a sea view, has new luxury twin beds with individual bedside lights and cabinets, a large fitted wardrobe and a set of drawers with cupboard under. An electronic security safe which can be programmed with your own security code is also permanently fitted for the use of our guests. For your safety a smoke alarm and fire extinguisher have been installed.

Cleaning and linen change at the end of your holiday are included in the price , however, if you book for two weeks, a mid term towel and linen change is included but not an apartment clean.

A deposit of 25% is required on booking and the balance payable 10 weeks prior to departure, or immediately if booking is made within 10 weeks of departure date A refundable security deposit of £200.00 is required against breakages and damage which will be refunded within 10 days of return of the apartment keys to us providing our agent has found everything to be in order after checking the apartment inventory.

In recent years, the 'Isla Blanca' or 'White Island' has become known as a destination for party-lovers, offering non-stop fun and one of the hottest nightlife scenes in the Mediterranean. But away from the entertainment hotspots, there are quieter resorts, which offer a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and attractions for families and older couples. The island also offers some interesting sightseeing, particularly in old Ibiza Town, with its fine historic buildings surrounded by ancient ramparts, and the interior of the island has some beautiful unspoilt countryside.

The main resort beach is set in a horseshoe bay with clean, fine sand and natural shade, backed by pine woods on the island's quieter north-east coast, Es Cana is a long-established little resort with a friendly, laid-back atmosphere. Es Cana has two beaches and both have been awarded the 'Blue Flag' for cleanliness.

The Es Cana area

Es Cana's relaxed, friendly atmosphere makes it an excellent choice for families and couples. Entertainment is relatively low-key, offering an antidote to hectic San Antonio. There are more than sufficient shops, bars and restaurants, many of them providing late-night entertainment.

Another attraction is the popular Wednesday “Hippy market”, originally started in the 1970’s and held in the open air. You will find a large number of open air craft stalls, although it does get very busy in the summer months.

A recent addition to the charm of Es Cana, is a purpose built promenade that stretches to Cala Nova in the North. For the more peaceful atmosphere, a number of neighbouring beaches can be reached by taking the coastal paths leading from the resort.

The water temperatures range from 18º C in May to 26º in August making the island ideal for all sorts of watersports, including waterskiing, jetskiing, sailing, windsurfing, parasailing, bananaboat or even a relaxing pedalo. ‘Nautical Sports Centre’ (just outside Es Cana in S'Argamassa) is a water sports Heaven. Jet skis, parachute sailing, banana rides, water skiing, boat rentals, beachside bar and restaurant under the pines. Sun, sea, sports, food and drink. Special Paella days on Sundays & Wednesdays.

---Climate and Weather on Ibiza ---
From May to October the Ibicencan summer is hot and dry. In August and September the temperature rises up to over 30º C, and with water temperatures of 25º - 27º C, beach fans are right in their element.

From November to April the average daytime temperature is about 15º celsius - however when the sun comes out this can rapidly climb to 25º C. Ibiza in Winter is more a time for lazy beach walks, sport and touring around the island, stocking up on some well-needed Vitamin D (from all the sunshine!).

“A wonderful holiday was had by all” We couldn't believe how big the apartment was when we arrived. It was very clean and had everything you could want there. There was a washing machine all pots and pans a hairdryer, dvds, cds, even sun cream. We had a bottle of water and a bottle of wine left in the fridge for when we arrived. On the balcony was a cupboard in which there was all sorts of beach equipment and games to play with. It really was like a home from home, the seats on the balcony were comfortable as there was a sofa out there. The beds were really comfortable even the sofa bed in lounge area it was really large and did not feel like sofa bed at all. we had hungers in the wardrobes and not just a couple there were loads. The bathroom was clean and looked new with a strong spray from the shower. We only had nice and friendly correspondence Nigel and Judy, they gave us loads of good advice before we went, we had no trouble finding the apartment as the had sent us so much information on the town and pictures showing us exactly where to go. This was an ideal town for us as my husband and myself went with our two teenage boys 17 and 19. We went to other towns why we were there but found Es Cana the cheapest, all the restaurant owners and workers were very friendly as with the bars. The beaches were beautiful and the really clean. We had a brilliant time and would go back to the same apartment even if it was just to wake up every morning to the sea right outside the window. The views just from the balcony are worth booking up for on there own. In the complex its self you have a swimming pool and a lot of the time we had it to our self's as it is gated off and you have a key to get in but it also looks over the sea. Our deposit was sent back to us really quickly, and the whole holiday went by without a hitch. Thank you again for letting us stay in your apartment.

“Fantastic, Best holiday in years” We cannot praise this holiday rental enough ,it was ahome from home Judy and Nigel have thought of everything even down to a guide in the apartment.From the moment we walked in till we left it was lovely to have a beautiful clean apartment and fluffy bath towels little things but they made the stay even more enjoyable.Es Canar is a lovely place for families but we did travel on public transport to Santa Eulria and Ibzia town both worth a vist the bus services on this island are fantastic and so reliable they do run to the times they say We even got the bus home to the airport it costs 4euros each well worth it only ones on the bus but beware they do leave on time and they wont wait for anyone. Back to this beautiful apartment it was fully equiped for everything and nigel and judy let you borrow snorkels,parasols,lilos The view from the balcony is breathtaking and so relaxing just listening to the waves the apartment is set in a quiet part of complex but is much better than others that we saw the pool some days we had to ourseleves no rushing for sun lounges and the caretaker Miguel keeps the complex pristine if you are looking to book an apartment i would give this apartment 10 out of 10 and well worth a vist our family consist of 2 teenagers 1 small child and 2 adults and we had more than enough room without falling ovr each other thank you Nigel and Judy for loaning us your little piece of heaven and making our first independant booking so easy and hassel free see you hopefully next year THE JOHNSONS

“LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION – A comfortable apartment commanding fantastic views in a quiet but central position” This attractive and well-equipped apartment is perfectly situated on the second floor of a well-maintained and quiet complex overlooking the private grounds and coastal walkway. It was a delight to start and end each day eating and relaxing on the balcony taking in the fantastic sea views and listening to the sound of the waves. On arrival the welcome bottle of wine and water were much appreciated! It was also useful to find shelves containing literature about the island and helpful tips/comments from previous occupants regarding restaurants in Es Canar and other resorts. Prior to our visit, the owners of the apartment, Nigel and Judy, contacted us and offered lots of useful information – thanks! Although not essential, we hired a car for the duration of our stay (however we made sure that it was from a company that required the car returning with a full tank of fuel) It was nice to have day trips to other resorts and beaches and do a variety walks. We visited most of the island. However, there is a good local bus service and regular boats go between resorts, including Ibiza town (Evissia) There is also a daily boat trip to the island of Formentera. The apartment was also a good starting or finishing point for lovely coastal walks in both directions. On one day we took the bus to Santa Eulalia, did some sightseeing, had lunch and then walked the coastal path back to Es Canar and a very welcome ice-cream! We enjoyed our stay in the friendly resort of Es Canar – it has something for everyone, notably safe and attractive beaches, a reasonable selection of restaurants, bars, small supermarkets and shops, coastal walks and good transport links. All in all, we feel we made the right choice of resort and without a doubt chose really good accommodation in the best location.
