Ericeira is an easy 40-45 minute drive from Lisbon airport, and is ideally located as a base of operations to explore Portugal's beautiful coastline, dotted with monuments and breathtaking views, as well as indulge in a round or two of golf at one of the nearby golf courses.
The flat looks out over the sea and is a 5 minute walk to the Ribeira d'Ilhas beach.
The delightful old town of Ericeira takes you back in time to the days when it was a tiny fishing village. Cobbled streets, white-washed houses and a plethora of restaurants and cafes offer excellent food, especially the sea-food for which Portugal is deservedly famous.

The Costa de Lisboa/Lisbon region
Portugal’s Atlantic coast is rapidly gaining a reputation amongst holiday makers for beautiful beaches, rocky cliffs and smugglers covers offering a stunning coastline, without the crowded beaches so synonymous with the Algarve and Spain. Couple this with the Portuguese people’s genuine friendliness, great food, wine and beer, lots to see and do, make Ericeira the perfect base from which to enjoy everything Portugal has to offer.
July and August are the hottest months, and also the busiest. However, Portugal boasts very amenable weather all year round, with warm sunny days a frequent event even in the middle of winter. From mid-April to the end of October, you will almost certainly benefit from warm sunny weather, and apart from July and August, the weather is not usually oppressively hot, as the sea breeze maintains temperatures at a manageable level.
Ericeira area
Ericeira is located a few kilometers north of the World Heritage site of Sintra and about 30 km south of the resort of Peniche. Cascais and Estoril with the Casino, multiple golf courses, and celebrity hide-aways is also only short drive away.
Ericeira is known for its surfing, hosting a round of the World Surf Championships, and home to (allegedly) the best surf beach in Europe - Ribeira d'Ilhas - directly below the flat.
For those looking to explore Portugal's cultural and touristic delights, the walled city of Obidos, Sintra with its Moorish castle and fairy-tale Palacio da Pena, Batalha and Alcobaca, two stunning monasteries/cathedrals and Fatima – a place of pilgrimage for millions of catholics and tourists alike are all within easy reach. Not to mention Lisbon, one of the prettiest capital cities in Europe.
Portugal also is host to many golf courses, half a dozen of which are within half an hour's drive - so Ericeira is an ideal place to combine sea-side relaxation, a bit of sight-seeing and a round or three of golf.
How to get there
Easyjet and Monarch airlines fly to Lisbon airport from Luton and Gatwick airports respectively. TAP and British Airways also fly from various UK airports to Lisbon. Porto and Faro airports are served by Ryanair/Easyjet, but are about 3 hours drive away. Lisbon airport has a number of car rental agencies offering very competitive rates (from approx £15 per day). Rental agencies include Hertz, Europcar, Sixt, Budget and Avis.

Further details indoors: Flat is brand new, and equipped with all amenities. There is 1 Master Bedroom (double bed) with an en-suite bathroom, balcony with amazing views of the sea (and lovely sunsets). Two additional bedrooms each have two single beds. A massive lounge has sofas, dining area, a balcony with a sea view. There is a fully equipped kitchen, with gas cooker, washing machine, fridge-freezer and a dish-washer. Finally, there is a study/sitting room upstairs next to the master-bedroom, with a double sofa-bed.

During the peak months of July and August, minimum rental period of one week is required.

Conditions
£100 deposit, which will be repaid following return of the keys and confirmation (from our cleaning staff) that the property has been left in good condition.
