Ergny farmhouse
About the home
The house (a former farmhouse built in 1850) is situated in Ergny, which is an agricultural village in the heart of the Pas-de-Calais region and just on the edge of the lovely area known as the Seven Valleys. We had a wonderful stay at this beautifully presented and spacious house in Ergny. This is a real home away from home rather than simply a holiday cottage or gite - from the many personal touches throughout the house, to the extremely well-equipped kitchen. Ergny itself is a lovely and peaceful village - the house is next door to a donkey sanctuary! There are lots of walks and places to visit nearby if you're that way inclined. Alternatively (as we did), you can simply stock the fridge with French wine, cheese and other goodies; light the impressive woodburner in the lounge; sit back and relax and do very little! We didn't want to come home at the end of our stay and, had we been able to, we would have changed our Channel Tunnel booking for a later date! We will be back... |
