The Mainland Greece region

The Zagori Region stretches over more than 1000 sq. km with altitudes varying between 500 and 2,500 meters

Deep valleys, gorges, steep mountain slopes, streams, rivers, mountain lakes, forests and meadows alternate

in a wild and unspoiled landscape.

As part of the National Park Vikos - Aoos it is protected from human intervention

The flora and fauna is very rich and many professors, students and researchers visit the area

Wild animals – bears, wolves, deer, wild boar, eagles and many others –live here and If you are lucky you might see them

The area is also famous for the 46 traditional stone build villages and the 92 arched stone bridges built between the 18th & 19th century

Epirus

Besides the beautiful nature, the extraordinary picturesquevillages and the famous stone bridges, one has the chance

to go deeper in nature through the numerous outdoor activities available

Trekking is well organized by us while rafting, biking and horse riding may be arranged by approved outdoor

providers in the area

Visit from April to October. Incredible in May & June.

The Zagori region is the ''Mecca'' of trekking in Greece. There are innumerable paths & combinations of them.

Our approach and our philosophy is to enjoy nature. The length of each daily trail allows you time to absorb the views and doze in shade. The treks may be carried out either guided (portable GPS and/or guide) or self-guided (maps , signs etc)

In Central and Western Zagori we have recorded already ninety two paths out of which fifty two are already available and the remaining will be available shortly. They are classified in six different groups depending on the experience and physical level required. Each group has its distinctive colour according to its difficulty (white, yellow, green, blue, red and black)

All trekking paths are recorded in a portable GPS you take with you to make sure you do not get lost! At the same time you are given a portable waypoint signal device that enables us to follow your waypoint on our central computer providing additional security in case of

Emergency.
