The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Vaucluse region
Vaucluse is a beautiful area situated in the countryside of southeast France with a stunning blue sky and temperatures as in the south of france; A hire car is essential to visit the many historical sites and châteaux close by.
Be sure to sample the region's wines (Côtes du Rhône), as well as the many local products including olives and cheeses and enjoy the many summertime music, dance and theatre festivals in nearby villages.
Entrechaux area
The apartment is situated in the stunning French countryside near vineyards and mountains. It is near Vaison La Romaine, a historical village with the ancient ruins of a Roman castles etc, cobbled streets and magnificent fountains. During the summer months, Vaison has many music and dance festivals and Roman theatres.
The apartment is also located near several villages and cities that are worth a visit including Avignon, named “European City of Culture” for 2000 and its annual Summer Theatre Festival.
We are situated in the heart of the countryside of Provence, on the Border of Vauclause and the Drome region.
Our location in the heart of the countryside of Provence, makes this an ideal holiday for walking and bike-riding. For those that enjoy nature, and want a relaxing holiday with the benefit of exploring the French Provencale culture, this is a wonderful place to be.
The area is safe for small children as no major roads are nearby and the village is easily reached by foot (or 2 mins by car). The village provides you with the opportunity to buy local products; they have family-run butcher/delicatessen for all other necessities and boasts two coffee bars and two very good restaurants. There are also many fetes in the surrounding villages during the summer months.
There are Provencale markets every day in various villages close-by, which sell every kind of local products such as olive oil, wine, and local jams. Fabric produced locally and fashion clothes are also available. There are some wonderful small villages set on top or on the side of the nearby mountains where one can find artist products created by local artists.
Local restaurants, typically serving French family cuisine, are easily found; perfect for enjoying those beautiful views while dining al fresco.
