The County Fermanagh region
One of the most scenic counties in Ireland, Fermanagh is rich in places of geological and historical interest. It is a fishermans Paradise with an annual world class competition in May. Lough Erne covers much of Fermanagh. Devenish Island and White Island have ruins from 6th Century. Boat tours run regularly from various points around the lake. Boats are also available for hire.
There are excellent golf courses including the recently opened Lough Erne Golf Resort in Enniskillen. Enniskillen Castle and Museum are worth a visit.
Marble Arch caves are one of the finest show caves in Europe. Tours run regularly throughout the summer months. Castlecoole and Florencecourt are National Trust Properties to be enjoyed. The world famous Belleek pottery is 25miles.
There are several forests and Country parks around the County. Ardhowen Theatre is open the year round. Enniskillen the only island town in Ireland provides endless hours of fine shopping.
Enniskillen / Ballinamallard area
Ballinamallard is a thriving well kept village with several shops, pubs and a restaurant. The local angling club provides for all your fishing needs as well as useful advice and local knowledge. There are several local golf courses. Horse riding is available at Necarne Equestrian Centre in Irvinestown.(3 miles) In nearby villages and towns there are numerous places to eat and drink. Fermanagh Tourist Information Centre is in Enniskillen. Donegal beaches are less than one hour away.
