The County Fermanagh region

Enniskillen, Fermanagh's country town is only twenty minutes by car from Coolbeg and is an island town between upper and lower Lough Erne. The town centre is based along the long narrow main street. This gives the town a real sense of bustle and life as well as imbuing the shops with their own unique character.

The Lough is right next to the town and parking for the town centre is alongside the marinas and moorings. An excellent venue for shopping and eating and there is a lively hub of activities, events and things to do throughout the year.

Thirty minutes by car will take you into the Cuilcagh Mountains for breathtaking scenery. Sixty minutes will take you to the Donegal or Sligo coastlines with rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, big surfs and Yeats Country.

The area boasts tourist attractions such as:-

Marble Arch Caves (BT92 1EW) - one of Europe's finest show caves with stalactites, terraces of calcite cascades and mirror pools.

Aughakillymaude Mummers Centre - the Irish tradition of mumming and mummers is preserved at this Centre and ten minutes drive from Coolbeg.

Belleek Pottery Visitor Centre, Belleek (BT93 3FY) - the world famous and only Irish Pottery has become one of Fermanagh's leading tourist attractions. Open all year and guided tours of the factory show you how the fine porcelain china is made.

Enniskillen Castle Museum (BT74 7HL) - excellent Museum highlighting Fermanagh's pre-history and natural history.
