This beautiful cottage exudes an elegant French country house style that reflects a sophisticated blend of past and present sitting side by side with the Lough. The House is 1500 sq ft ( 162 sq m) and is finished to an exceptionally high specification. It has been decorated to be enjoyed on long sunny days or cosy winter ones. It has plush furnishings and fabrics, an ideal place to lounge and chill.
The Kitchen and Downstairs Living Area
The downstairs dining/snug area comfortably seats 8 to 10 people and is part of an open plan kitchen. This area includes a snug area based around a cosy fire, a French Beaux Arts Siematic kitchen with whitewashed oak floors, an island and two luxury bar stools and an old French oak kitchen table with 6 antique chairs for dining.
The kitchen has a built in dishwasher, fridge/freezer, traditional Lacanche French range with a Belfast Sink.
The ground floor also has a Utility room (with a washing machine, dryer an additional fridge, washing materials, iron and ironing board, coat-racks and storage space and a fisherman's feature wall), a downstairs bathroom (which has a traditional stand alone bath with shower accessories) and 2 bedrooms.
The Terrace and Porch Living Area (overlooking, and within 20m of, Lake, Golf Course and Collop Walk)
Running directly off the kitchen are two large patio doors opening directly onto a beautiful porch and patio area which has been made up with a large round off white day lily wrought iron table, 5 luxurious wrought iron chairs with cushions and a luxurious porched couch. A large gas BBQ which can be used in all weather due to the open plan porch.
The Stairs and Library Area
The bottom floor of the house is open plan and runs upstairs with the stairs running out of the kitchen into a spacious upstairs living area which benefits from a skylight pitched roof. It is decorated with luxurious carpets, wallpaper, antique French mirrors, chandeliers and armchairs with a spacious reading area beside a large cherry-wood bookcase. This area is an idyllic reading area or is alternatively perfect for relaxing.
The Upstairs Living Room
The feature Living room in this house is situated upstairs with a floor to ceiling and wall to wall window (dressed with silk) to avail of the stunning views over the 5th hole of the Faldo Golf Course, Castlehume Lake and the Hotel itself. This is the feature room of the house, large with a pitched roof, traditional marble fireplace, log fire, drinks cabinet, desk, side-tables and large soft sinking couches etc.
Master Bedroom with En Suite
Master Bedroom – large spacious room with 6ft king size Marie Antoinette carved bed & walk in dressing room. There is a large window dressed with warm curtains, a cosy love seat and feature antique dressing table, walk in fully fitted high spec wardrobes and a quaint and pretty en suite with a combination of marble and Belfast brick tiles, traditional wainscotting and ornate wallpaper set off by antique chandalier and mirrors.
En Suite comprises of large high power shower, toilet & wash hand basin - all bathrooms have heated towel rails.
Bedroom 2 (Downstairs)
