Home description

The country house opens on to the valley. The beautiful and shady patio has been furnished with taste and care by the owners to relax on the comfy sofas and enjoy the lovely landscape. In the patio there’s also a table and a barbecue set. In another corner of the garden there’s the cool 5x10 swimming-pool. The house is cool and furnished with care for every detail: there are a double bedroom, another bedroom with 2/3 single beds, a comfy living-room, a nice kitchen with a wood-burning oven, and 2 bathroom with shower. There is also a guest house with a double/riple bedroom and a bathroom with shower. The bedrooms are provided with air-con.

The Sicily region

Sicily offers to the visitor a unique and unforgettable scenery made of big and small bays, promontories, steep cliffs, coves, sand dunes, granite rocks, wild islands, sun-burned countryside, natural parks and reserves, gorges hollowed by rivers, marine and land grottoes, tuff quarries… The shores and sea of Sicily are astonishing: very fine white sand beaches alternate at red cliffs, white promontories, desert dunes; it is easy to come across old and charming tuna-fisheries or small fisher-men villages surrounded by a blue or emerald green sea. But Sicily gives you also the opportunity to know its culture and its traditions gathered through centuries of history and under different foreign dominations. Ancient customs, popular feasts, holy processions and gastronomic delights are waiting for you on every corner of the island. You may rediscover its thousands years old history through the architecture of churches, buildings and monuments, through the old arts and crafts and in the various tastes of Sicilian dishes. Wherever you go you will find traces of the island’s glorious past: Palaeolithic grottoes, Roman villas, Greek temples, Benedictine monasteries, Norman towers, Punic ships, Medieval castles, Arab mosques, Baroque churches, Art Nouveau buildings and a warm and a sincere hospitality.

Enna area

First of all we advice you to explore the immediate vicinity, we are sure you’ll be amazed. The wild rough landscape (in summer) makes room for the sweet hills covered by marvellous woods, as at Pergusa’s Lake, Ogliastrillo’s Lake, or in the Rossomanno Reserve. Other wonders are only few km far: the gorgeous “Villa del Casale” in Piazza Armerina (UNESCO heritage), the ruins of Morgantina and Aidone, the caves of Sperlinga. From this location you can also visit the beautiful Madonie Nature Park, Agrigento’s “Valle dei Templi”, the uncontaminated south coasts, for example “Balata dei Turchi”, all of them at 1 hour drive!

The price includes a welcome dinner offered by the owner. On request lunch and/or dinner for an extra charge of € 20 per person, drinks excluded. Extra cleaning service on request for € 10 per hour. In an area separated from the house, lives and works the guardian of the farmhouse.

The guest house, which can sleep up to 3 people, has an extra cost of: 250 euros per week for 1 person, 450 euros per week for 2 persons, 550 euros per week for 3 persons.There's an extra price for the guest house which is 150 euros per person per week.
