Situated on a mountain side with superb views overlooking Falmouth Harbour and Nelsons' Dockyard, Alagana House provides spectacular vistas, new and modern conveniences, and personal privacy.

Alagana House takes its name from the Amerindian word for a golden yellow tropical apple which is said to have grown here in profusion before the introduction of goats to the island in the 1800s.

Alagana House is a modern plantation style house. With high ceilings and cool interiors the villa is spread over two floors. The walls are decorated with an array of original artwork with a Caribbean and Yachting theme. Delightful Objet d'art are spread throughout the Villa.

The hub of the house is the kitchen / living room. This is pivotal point between the main terrace with its unsurpassed view over Falmouth Harbour and the casual dining area on a covered terrace. Step down 2 steps to the infinity pool and sun terrace where there is also an outdoor shower. Lay back on one of the sun loungers and enjoy uninterrupted views of the bay and beyond. From its elevated position on a hillside, the house has the most superb views.

The central terrace takes up one entire corner of the house. Furnished with a teak dining table and large sofas this is indoor outdoor living at its best. The fully equipped kitchen has everything that one might need for the preparation of light snacks or gourmet dinners.

The cosy living area has been furnished with comfortable white-upholstered sofas. Double French doors leading to both terraces create a pleasant through breeze.

There are 3 bedrooms all have there own DVD. Two of them are upstairs, located on wings either side of the living area. The master bedroom has a king size bed with wicker headboard and is spacious, light and airy, a small balcony over looks the harbour. It has an en suite bathroom. All bathrooms have showers, there are no bath tubs. The second bedroom has the same features and lay out, a king size bed, balcony that leads into the garden and en suite bathroom. The bed may be changed to two singles. One large, private bedroom is located downstairs and may be accessed without disturbing the upper floor. This king sized bed also turns into two singles. The en suite bathroom has a large "rain" shower. For those who like to keep abreast of business this large bedroom also has a desk and is very private with doors leading onto its own sun terrace.

Alagana House is spacious yet intimate. Suitable for mature families, groups of friends, couples, and honeymooners. Welcome, though not suitable for very young children due to the villa's layout and hillside location. The villa is not really suited to anyone with difficulty getting around and certainly not to small children.

Features: Infinity edge swimming pool (20ft x 6ft), TV, CD player, gas barbecue air con in bedrooms, hair dryers, books DVDs, CDs, a selection of games and small holiday library.

The Antigua region

Antigua promises visitors that “The beach is just the beginning”, and indeed, the 365 beautiful white sandy beaches are only a small part of what makes this still original and charming little island so attractive and popular with guests from all over the world. Rolling green hills, picturesque villages, a lush and enchanted stretch of rainforest and the most beautiful, pristine beaches imagined paint the landscape of Antigua.

The capital of Antigua is St. John's and easily distinguished by its landmark, the impressive white baroque towers of St. John's Anglican cathedral, first built in 1843. The town is a charming mixture of old and new. There is a cruise ship port and duty free shopping not far from the historic museum and picturesque Redcliffe Quay, where restored old warehouses now host a variety of lovely little shops and cafes. The St. John's market is a great opportunity to marvel at exotic spices, fruits, vegetables and fish that come in all forms and colors.

Before its independence in 1981, Antigua was an English colony and historic buildings and hulks scattered all over the island are remaining witnesses of this bygone era. Nelson's Dockyard located in the south in English Harbour is the only preserved Georgian Yacht Harbor in the world and the island's most famous relic.

English Harbour and Galley Bay is a the region where Rental Butler features some of their most exclusive villas on island. Another location with stylish, luxurious properties and breathtaking views is Jolly Harbour on the West Coast. Both harbours are situated in beautiful landscapes and become quite active in April during Antigua's famous annual Sailing Week.
