Home description
This is a charming, luxurious villa which benefits from having two master bedrooms (both en-suite) and a further two double bedrooms with bathroom. Relax by, or in, the large heated pool and enjoy the views and wildlife over Lake Marlin.
The majority of villas around Lake Marlin have pools installed by the renowned company CASA POOLS and this one is the largest. It contains a volume of water over 50 percent larger than any of the other villas and also has a lovely illuminated water feature as well as a 'love seat' for enjoying those evening cocktails.

The Florida / Florida Gulf Coast region
The Gulf Coast is widely considered to be the finest area of Florida and is a complete contrast to the more hectic Orlando/Disney area. There is an abundance of uncrowded beautiful sandy beaches lapped by the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico to enjoy all year round.
The beaches of Charlotte Harbour & the Gulf Islands line miles of the Gulf coast. Easily accessible yet quiet and remote enough to attract abundant birds, dolphins, sea turtles and other wildlife, they are a local treasure. There are no big crowds here, just plenty of white sand lapped by gentle waves from the Gulf of Mexico and decorated with colourful shells.
Lake Marlin is located on the beautiful Cape Haze Peninsular, close to the fabulous beaches of Gasparilla Island, Englewood and Stump Pass. A visit to Boca Grande Island lets you step back in time.
Close by are Local Nature Reserves, sea and river fishing, boating, water sports including jet-skiing, para-sailing and speedboat rentals. Fishing is allowed in Lake Marlin. Finally, not forgetting 6 Golf Courses within minutes.
Within easy reach are plenty of local restaurants catering for all tastes and pockets, two tennis courts, a cycle track, shops and supermarkets.
Wildlife abounds everywhere: Osprey, Pelicans, Ibis, Egrets, and Turkey Vultures are all common sights. On our last visit we saw a Bald Eagle at 10 feet! Alligators, Racoons, Armadillos and Turtles can also be seen. Dolphins can often be spotted swimming in the warm waters off the beaches.
Englewood / Lake Marlin area
South Gulf Cove is close enough to area amenities, but secluded enough to call 'Your private piece of paradise'. Lake Marlin is ideally situated just minutes away from numerous activities including great golfing, tennis and deep sea fishing. Enjoy romantic waterfront dining and sunset cruises from Englewood Beach or go shopping in Old Englewood adjoining lovely Lemon Bay.
Have fun in the sun at nearby Englewood Beach or the secluded Boca Grande for swimming, shelling, sunning, picnics and all other outdoor activities. Boat or jetski rental is also available or just enjoy a stroll in one of the nature parks.
Our Villa is also in the perfect location for exploring the outer surrounding areas. Tampa, Fort Myers, Sanibel, Captiva, Sarasota, Naples and Orlando are all within reachable distance and all have something special to offer
Take a day trip to Busch Gardens adventure park which is just over a one hour drive or why not try the exhilarating hydrofoil journey from Fort Myers to Key West ?
GOLF:
Duffy's Golf Course, a minute's drive away, is an 18-hole course at the Duffy's Golf Centre. It features 3,641 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 59, and offers late night floodlit gaming.
Long Marsh Golf Club, a short drive from the Villa is set in 300 acres of natural Florida scrub, pines, oaks and palms, lakes and marshes that are a haven for wildlife. Four sets of tees provide distances from 7120 yards to 5257 yards, a real test from the back. . Lemon Bay Golf Club with a par 71, 18 hole course offers a fair yet challenging game for both novice and expert golfer. It is located within a wildlife preserve along the beautiful waters of Lemon Bay and the natural Florida terrain provides an ideal habitat for native birds and animals.
Myakka Pines Golf Club, ( www.myakkapinesgolfclub.com ) has 27 holes that are divided into three distinctly different courses, Each 9 hole course has it's own characteristics. The courses are about 3100 yards for men, 2800 for women and 3350 from the back tees. The course is dotted with lakes and surrounded by Florida's natural fauna, with no deveopements of any kind to spoil the views.
The list could go on, but we do not have the space to list all the golf courses. There are over 70 courses between Tampa and Lake Marlin.
How to get there
Tampa (TPA) is a 90 minute drive from Lake Marlin with BA operating daily direct flights from Gatwick.
Orlando International (MCO) is served daily by BA and Virgin and about a two hour drive.
Orlando Sanford (SFB) is served by many charter airlines including Monarch and Thomson and is a 2.5 hour drive.
Alternatively Fort Myers (RSW) can be reached by indirect flights and is a 60 minute drive.

Further details indoors: This home is ideally suited for large families or two couples with children. There are two separate lounge areas (one with cable TV) plus a formal dining room. There is also cable TV in both master bedrooms. Free broadband internet access is available in the 'colonial' master bedroom. Please remember to bring your laptop and an ethernet cable if you wish to use this facility.

The pool has a solar blanket for use in the winter months, but electric heating is available, if required, at an additional cost of £65 per week.
Conditions
Reservation deposit of £250 required with the balance payable 8 weeks prior to the booking. A separate breakage deposit of £100 will be refunded, after inspection, within 10 days of vacating the property.
