Home description
Ideal for those who enjoy sailing, walking or wildlife, Mariners Cottage is right next to Emsworth Harbour, a traditional fishing village with great restaurants and pubs. Secure parking behind the cottage or space for a dinghy which can be easily launched from the slipway just 30 yards away.
The village has two bedrooms, a futon for an additional two guests, lounge, kitchen and bathroom on the first floor. Ideal for a couple or small family. Not suitable for smokers or pets.

Emsworth is an old fishing village on Chichester Harbour a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Home to several sailing clubs, waterside pubs, a seal colony and many species of birds, the harbour is popular with birdwatchers, walkers and sailors alike.
Emsworth area
The ancient towns of Chichester and Fishbourne (with Roman Villa) are popular as is Goodwood - famous for the annual Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival motor events as well as horseracing. The Isle of Wight is less than an hour away by ferry. Water tours of the harbour are available and a water taxi operates to the many yachts in the harbour.
How to get there
A3 from London then A27 east to Emsworth. When arriving in the village head for the harbour. Mariners Cottage is on the left just before the slipway.

Very comfortable & well equipped cottage. Best position in Emsworth. We visited the RSPB bird sanctuary at Birdham & the Witterings & the lovely beaches. Also visited the Roman Palace at Fishbourne. Excellent pubs and restaurants nearby. Thank you for a nice stay. Sir David 14 June 2008
Our second visit and even more enjoyable than the first. Mariners is a truly comfortable and welcoming holiday cottage. We have enjoyed the sailing from Emsworth Marina and the many and varied local walks, especially the Itchenor circular walk. Many thanks Michelle and David. Hope to be back next year.
