During colder seasons, you can still enjoy all that the region has to offer, as the property is fully central-heated and has a coal-effect gas-fire in the sitting room. There is parking for up to 2 cars, and the local shops, pubs and restaurants are a mere 10 minutes walk away.

Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Stairgate available. Off road parking for 2 cars. Lockable bike storage in small garage. Enclosed garden to rear with lawn, two patios, pergola, summer house, garden furniture inc. 2 sun loungers and BBQ. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shops, pubs and restaurants 10 mins walk. The Mere (lake) 3 mins walk.

The Heart of England / Peak District / Shropshire region
A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.
The Ellesmere area
From the town of Ellesmere you can enjoy a series of gentle walks that will take you from the site of an ancient glacial mere into town and along to the Llangollen Canal, past the new marina or through the Arboretum and Cremorne Gardens. In the immediate vicinity, you can enjoy the scenery from the comfort of a steamboat or visit the Wood Lane Nature Reserve, an 81 hectare site, which combines North Shropshire's largest quarry with active nature conservation. Slightly further afield, you will find attractions such as the Park Hall Countryside Experience, which is an ideal day-out for any group that have children or, if history is more your thing, you can discover the beautiful remains of a 12th century moated castle located in the heart of the village of Whittington.

,Mere House is very comfortable and in a good location. Plenty of bathrooms, lots of crockery/cutlery. It's a spacious house with lots of room for us to move around. Great to have somewhere we could bring the dog.
