About this location
Northern Poland region
Villa Grabnik is an ideal base to explore Masuria and it's 1000s of lakes, or if you just want to relax by the lake and let the children run around the huge garden it's great.
Mazuria is home to many water based activities from fishing, yachting, boats trips, jetskiing, kayaking and motor boating, there are many cycle routes around the area too.
The region is home to Hitler's "Wolf's Lair" where the attempt on his life failed in 1944, the remains of occupation are evident in the numerous bunkers you can explore.
Castles, churches, monasteries, museums abound, there's even a pyramid, but nature is the real star of Masuria, park by a forest and go for a walk, see moose and deer, pick blueberries, wild strawberries raspberries and wild mushrooms.
Get lost, literally and you are sure to stumble across a pretty village, a unique lake, or a traditional restaurant or bar.

"Huge villa with all mod cons, great for exploring the area."
We stayed in Villa Grabnik for Christmas, the house was warm and cosy when we arrived and we had lots of wood to keep the wood burner fired up.
The key holders were great and helped us out with some tips on where to go and what to see. The weather was unusually clement for the time of year and we were able to get about and see Hitlers Bunkers at Ketrzyn, and walk the lovely promenade in Elk, but most of the time we enjoyed the house, lake and garden. Wifi was a bonus.
Only negatives would be that two of the double beds are a bit narrow (140 cm I think) might not suit everybody and the windows and skylights could do with some proper coverings which actually block the sunlight! Overall a great house and a wonderfull Christmas had.
