Home description

This property is a little ‘gem'! Pretty as a picture from the outside with steps up to the front door and yet inside the owner has spared no cost in the refurbishment.

Comfortable elegant sofas surround the large open log fire with antiques completing the scene. The kitchen, although traditional in feel has been finished to a high standard with granite work tops and handmade wooden units.

All rooms are wallpapered in pretty traditional prints giving a charming feel to the house – a particular feature is the beautiful hand painted wallpaper on the staircase.

There are three bedrooms on the first floor, one double, one twin and one single and a further bedroom/playroom on the lower ground floor with bunk beds.

Kent is in the South-East of England and consists of many important districts such as Dartford, Maidstone, Ashford, Canterbury and Dover.

Arts:
Canterbury inspired Chaucer's Canterbury Tales and William Golding worked in Maidstone.

Transport:
Kent is easily accessible by road, sea or rail. Indeed, Dover is the closest point to France and remains a hub for ferry travel to the rest
of Europe.

Brockhill Country Park

This is an area of the UK which contains many walking and cycling routes as well as over 500 years of history.

Elham area

Elham is a lovely traditional village, with shops, several restaurants, two pubs and a medieval church in a square – an ideal base for a visit to Kent. There is open countryside in every direction with a host of wonderful walks right from your door.

Within six miles is the stunning medieval city of Canterbury with an excellent shopping centre, two theatres and of course the World Heritage Site of the Cathedral and St Augustine's Abbey, not to mention the charming medieval houses, river trips down the river that winds through the city and even a ghost walking tour!

Elham is just 10 minutes drive from the Channel Tunnel entrance, for a day trip to France, and is close to Howletts and Port Lympne animal zoo parks. For further ideas please look at the ‘Holiday Information' section on our website.

There is a nine hole and 18 hole golf course in the neighbouring village of Lyminge (2 miles) and the beach is within 20 minutes.
