The house is decorated to a high standard throughout. Great care and attention has been take to ensure it really is a home from home.
Comprising of lounge with Sky TV/dining kitchen/1 x ground floor twin bedroom/2 x first floor double bedrooms, which can be requested as either doubles or twins/bathroom. The kitchen is fitted with dishwasher/large gas hob/microwave & oven & there is a washing machine in the utility area.

It is available for rental all year round from a minimum of 3 days.

My housekeeper will meet you at the premises to hand over the keys & to do an inventory at the end of the stay. A security deposit is required in cash locally & will be returned in full at the end of the stay assuming all is in order.
The Andalucia region
Inland Andalisia has so much to offer and something for all tastes & interests. Here is a brief summary of the surrounding area:
ESTEPA (15mins drive) Has a beautiful monastry which has stunning views over the valley and is also famous for it's palvarones and mantecado
biscuits. The air is filled with the smell of cinnamon during the months of September to December, and people come from afar to buy the biscuits in time for Christmas.
ANTEQUERA (45mins drive) Has at present the nearest Golf Course. (It's a challenge). There are many churches to visit and a large market held on Tuesday near the Bull ring.
SEVILLE (1hr15mins drive) Is situated on the River Gaudalquivir which has many bars and restaurants dotted along it's banks. The main attraction is the massive Gothic Cathedral with it's rich interior, is considered one of the
most impressive in Spain. Stroll down the narrow side streets and you will find many tapas bars in unexpected squares.(There is a bus service from El Rubio to Seville)
GRANADA (1hr30mins) Think of Granada and you think of the Alhambra(booking advised) It was built in the 13th century as a castle but later palace building were formed along with the summer gardens of the Generalife above.
CORDOBA (1hr drive) Along with Seville and Granada this is one of the great trio of Moorish cities in Southern Spain. In the old quarter, narrow white washed streets burst with flower filled balconies and courtyards. Competitions are held every May for the most beautiful displays.
RONDA (1hr drive) Sits on both sides of a dramatic gorge with the River Guadalevir far below. Ronda has one of the oldest Bullrings in Spain.
The village as shops & restaurants which are all within easy walking distance as well as a superb local outdoor swimming pool.
Antequerra as an 18 hole Golf coarse and there are 3 more International coarses planned over the next 2 to 3 years. Only 30 to 45 minutes drive & with excellent facilities.

"Fantastic cosy retreat to return to after a day out exploring"
We had a fab time at Andrea's house. " It does what it says on the tin", ideal to return to after a days exploring, very tastefully decorated with loads of added touches, I fell in love with the place. All needs catered for, spotlessly clean , welcome pack generous, although it would have been nice to have had a hairdryer to use as they are a little heavy to take in a suitcase, but that's a minor point! We would definately book again when re-visiting the area and recommend to friends without any hesitation.

"Great relaxing break and home from home"
La Alegria was the perfect break early October - the villa was lovely, and had everything we needed to make it 'home from home' for the week. We spent 3 days at the villa, literally doing nothing and enjoyed relaxing in the sun trap garden, reading books, listening to music and escaping from busy lives. We stocked up on food from Carrefour in nearby Ecija and having DVD and freeview was great as we could really relax in the evenings. There was a restaurant El Chopo which was recommended but unfortunately this was closed during our stay.
The other days we visited Ronda, Grenada and Seville, which was great and a bit of an adventure driving through rural spain with 'NavMan' in the car which helped us find our way. It was a bit of a drive (1-1/5 hours each way) but it was great to have a mix of city break and total relaxation and meant we got to see a lot during our stay.

"Peaceful, well equipped & comfortable holiday home"
We recently stayed in La Alegria for one week in early October. The house was spotlessly clean and beautifully prepared for our arrival. We found it to be very well equipped with everything you could possibly need, tastefully decorated and very peaceful, especially the lovely courtyard to the back of the house.
The village is small and tranquil with not another tourist in sight at that time of year, full of local people who were all really friendly and just enough small shops & bars to buy everything you might need locally. El Rubio, the village, is perfectly located for making day trips to Cordoba, Seville, Granada, Ronda..... no place is more than 1-2 hours drive away so it was an excellent place to base yourself to tour around the region and the roads in the area couldn't be easier to drive on or navigate.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the home or a holiday in this area, we had a lovely relaxing week and would holiday in the same place again.

"Beautiful house in a lovely quiet village"
I stayed at El Rubio with my family, I have to say, it is quite possibly the best house I have ever rented for a holiday. The house itself is beautifully decorated, well equipped and is in a really pretty, quiet Spanish village. Perfectly situated close to the best Andalucian towns and cities.

"A wonderful place to relax"
The house was perfectly located to explore the bautiful cities of Seville, Granada & Cordoba. With the enclosed private garden which was a sun trap we were able to relax between trips. The house was charming & well equipped for a holiday home. Will definitely recommend to friends & hope to visit again in the future.

"A beautiful house with everything you could need and more"
The house was styled beautifully and very well equipped for a relaxed Andalucian holiday. The local pool was great and the village was well placed for trips to both Granada and Seville. A great time was had by all........thank you!
