The Andalucia region
The Costa de la Luz is comprised of the Spanish coast of the Gulf of Cadiz. Southwest is a region of Andalusia that spans the coastal areas of the provinces of Huelva and Cadiz.
It has a wide range of tourism and leisure, both sun and sand, and rural, gastronomic and cultural, golf courses, water parks and marinas.

The name comes from a brilliant light that highlights the comeliness of its streets, the whitewashed walls, the golden dunes and the reflection of the sea.
El Puerto de Santa Maria
El Puerto de Santa María is located on the banks and Guadalete River.
According to legend, the city was founded by Menestheus Athenian king who participated in the Trojan War. When the war ended and he came home, he had assaulted his throne and had to emigrate. Navigating with no destination was to stop just to Guadalete River and founded the city, Port of Menesteo.
El Puerto de Santa Maria is known as The City of the Hundred Palaces. Product of trade with Spanish America or the Indies in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries in the town rose like palaces adapted to the needs of large traders also Chargers were called pigs.
