The house is ideally situated for beach lovers and all sporting, outdoors enthusiasts as the area has so much to offer. El Mojon is a small village at the southern tip of the Costa Blanca and within 10 minutes of Murcia airport or 45 minutes of Alicante. Both airports are served by the popular low cost airlines flying from the UK and other EU countries .
It is a quiet area within easy reach of the more commercial areas so, you can have the best of both worlds. The Mar Menor enjoys 320 days a year of sunshine and with the average air temperature of 18-22 degrees it makes for a great place to visit all year round
The house really is only 300m from the sea, with a long sandy beach and numerous beach bars and several children's play areas on the sand, in the water and in the parks behind the beach. It is ideally situated for golfers, with more than 8 courses within a 20 minute drive, the recently opened Lo Romero golf course in Pilar de le Horadada, Roda Golf in los Alcazares to name but a few. The Mar Menor is ideal for watersports lovers as the lagoon is great for beginners and experts to experience kayaking, sailing, canoeing and jet-skiing, etc. Its great for cycling as it is very flat and we can recommend a local bike hire company Border Bikes. Visit the famous mud baths for free, which is believed to have therapeutic healing qualities and the protected wildfowl nature reserve close by for bird lovers to take some fantastic photographs.
The house is fully air conditioned/heated, on a quiet development and furnished to a high standard and sleeps six people comfortably. On the ground floor there is a twin bedroom, shower room and fully equipped kitchen and a comfortable lounge/dining area. Upstairs there are a further two bedrooms, one twin room and 1 double both with fitted wardrobes, leading out on to a balcony. The main bathroom is fully fitted and all rooms have ceiling fans and air conditioning units in the lounge and bedrooms. Bed linen and towels are provided but feel free to bring you own if you prefer. On the patio there is a table and chairs, parasol and sun loungers. There is a communal swimming pool, which is for the exclusive use of a small number of properties.
There is a selection of English and Spanish bars locally serving food and some with live entertainment. There are 2 small supermarkets and chemist's nearby with larger supermarkets a 5 minute drive away and a large shopping centre, Dos Mares and the newly opened la Zenia Boulevard with a variety of shops,places to eat, bowling alley and cinema.
The nearest towns are San Pedro del Pinatar and Pilar de la Horadada both a five minute drive away in opposite directions. They are both typical, Spanish towns where you will find a selection of supermarkets, shops, bars, restaurants and the all important tourist information centre. Daily Markets are held in the nearby towns every day, including El Mojon between June and September. A must visit is the food market held on a Monday at San Pedro del Pinatar. There is an excellent bus service if you don't want to drive whilst on vacation; with a convenient stop just round the corner.
The region of Murcia is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt in Spain. Discover the history, architecture and food of the region mixed with a perfect climate. Look out for the annual Fiestas in the local towns and villages, don't miss out on the great celebrations, precession's, fireworks and shows, the Spanish people do know who to enjoy themselves.
Don't forget the kids with numerous places to visit including Aqualandia Waterpark; Terra Mitica; Rio Safari Park; Go Karting; Terra Natura; Fortress of the Sun;Tenpin Bowling; Sea inflatables; mountain biking; horse riding; tennis courts the choice is theirs.

The house is fitted with a burglar alarm.
There is sufficient parking at the front of the property. Patio furniture is provided for you to enjoy alfresco dining and relaxing in the sunshine.
The swimming pool is located at the end of the street and for the exclusive use for only a select number of properties. Entry is by way of a key fob. In the event that the key is lost or damaged a charge of €100.00 will be charged for a replacement payable to the management company..
PLEASE take great notice of the safety swimming advice and rules in the pool area. Children MUST be supervised at all times.

El Mojon is a small village on a beach location next to the famous Mar Menor salt water lagoon, with 2 supermarkets, a chemist and 5 bars/restaurants open all year round, some providing live entertainment. The beaches are very clean and it has a lovely promenade, with walks leading to neighbouring villages, the reserve, salt lakes and the marinas.
Pilar is a typical Spanish town with a church and square in the middle and with facilites and amenities including supermarkets, outdoor market, shops, bars, restaurants, indoor swimming pool, football stadium and open air entertainment during the summer months..
