About the home

Nestled into the hills the cottage looks down the valley towards the sea,with the majestic mountians of Tenerife forming a stunning backdrop.This cottage sleeps up to two people.There is a large double bedroom,a spacious bathroom,kitchen(with modern appliances)and a comfortable lounge with views down through the valley.

This cottage has been built in the typical `Canarian´ style with wooden and tiled roof.All rooms have ceramic tiled floors to keep the accommodation cool in the summer. We supply a gas fire for any chilly winter nights
There is also a satelite TV system ( English and German ).On arrival you will receive a welcome pack (wine,beer,milk,water,juice)

Further details outdoors:
Outside in the garden ,there is a secluded area for sunbathing,which is surrounded by tropical flowers and trees and a BBQ.The garden leads onto the large private HEATED swimming pool.A sun terrace runs the length of the lounge and kitchen,which makes an ideal area for outdoor meals. NEW we now have a mini gym for those wishing to keep fit on their holiday. There is ample parking plus a carport for those hot days.

The Tenerife region

Whether you have visited Tenerife before or not there are plenty of places to visit and explore,some by car others on foot or mountian bike. A `must´ is the volcano of Tiede.It is a strange sensation to be at sea level then to travel up over 3000mtrs in just over one hour to this fantastic landscape with all its beautiful and varying rock structures and colours. Stop at the village of Villaflor on the way,which is the highest village in Spain, and take in the stunning views.A good hike or bike ride here is to `Paisaje Lunar´which you suddenly discover inbetween the pine trees.Tenerife has many different plants and trees and at Icod they are proud of their centuries old `Drago´tree.

The El Medano / Granadilla area

This is an ideal spot if you like to go walking, biking or sightseeing There are various restaurants in which to try the local cuisine.Visit the local beach of El Medano or La Tajita with its natural sand,relax at the local bars and watch the many watersports or try them yourself.

Fly from any UK airport to Tenerife South,where there are ample car rental companies or rent a car direct on the internet. Then you have a 20 minute drive to your holiday accommodation which is set nestled into the hills.
