Situated near Montana Pelada this Villa can be found in a very quiet area of El Medano. Although semi-detached, privacy is afforded by an extended wall, enclosing the heated swimming pool/ sun terrace as well as the garden and BBQ dining area. A sunbathers paradise and a safe haven for families.
The upstairs, comprises one very large Master double bedroom with an impressive vaulted ceiling and a balcony that has stunning panoramic sea views. Also upstairs is the Master bathroom. Downstairs is spacious, open plan and has a kitchen, dining area and lounge. Leading off the lounge is the second twin bedded room and additional WC and shower room. The large patio doors from the lounge open onto the terrace and swimming pool area.
This Villa is only a few metres from the beach. A further 15/20 mins walk (5 mins drive) takes you to the main Town Centre which offers many bars, restaurants and a 'blue flagged' family beach. Other amenities are shops, supermarkets, taxis/public transport.

Under the stairs the Owners have added a utility area for the washing machine and drying area. The kitchen is a modern design and well equipped, containing:- electric hob and oven, fridge / freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and juicer. The three setter leather sofa will also extend into a double bed should 6 people need occupancy.
The bathrooms are completely tiled in pale mosaic.

The swimming pool is fully heated and is fitted with a pool cover. This affords protection against the elements and also for cleanliness. The sunbathing terrace has 4 sun loungers (additional beds can be provided should the need arise).
The BBQ is traditionally Spanish Charcoal and easy to use. The BBQ dining terrace has table and chairs that will accommodate 6 people with plenty of space.
There are two upstairs solarium's, one adjoining the master bedroom and a second large terrace.
Parking is directly outside the property, part of a small cul-de-sac.

The Tenerife region


The island of Tenerife is the largest of the Canary archipelago. Mount Teide effectively splits the island in two. There is a gigantic, natural crater called Las Canadas del Teide, which is about 29km across and has officially been declared a National Park. It lies over 2,000 metres above sea level. North of the crater stands El Pico del Teide, a 3,718metre high mountain, which is the highest point in Spain. This will be the first sight you will see when flying into the island. It is snow covered in the winter and marks the island with its unique silhouette. The North of the island is more tropical, has a cooler climate and is where the many banana plantations can be found. The South, by contrast, is hotter and dryer with a desert type landscape. Tourists favour the South for the 'all year' sunshine.
The El Medano area
El Medano beach has a 'blue flag' status and is ideal for young families and sun bathers alike. This stretch of coastline also offers a whole range of water sports and is renowned for having some of the best conditions for wind surfing, sailing and scuba diving in Tenerife.
The Promenade is perfect for strolling, sight-seeing and has an abundance of restaurants and tapas bars. You are spoilt for choice!

House is in good condition, everything is as desribed on their main website. Area is buitifull. There is a great mountain/sea view through the windows. The area is quiet. Nearest shop is about 1km from the house, and town center is about 2km from the villa. There was one main thing which made our stay there not a great experience. There were ants in the house. You couldn't leave food outside the fridge as they would be all over it. We left a cup of sweet juice in bedroom for the night, in the morning there were houndreds of them around it. Please bear in mind that it's very windy in medano, and even if there was hot outside, when you come out of pool you could feel a cold breeze on the body. It's great place for kite and windsurfing. Response: All Gone!! Firstly, we are very pleased that you found Villa Pelada to be in good condition and that the surrounding areas are 'beautiful', especially the sea and mountain views. The town of El Medano certainly does have much to offer! In particular the 'Blue Flag' beaches and the Kite and Wind surfing championships. The Beach Front Promenade is very popular and offers an array of international cuisine restaurants for all to enjoy. Secondly, as in any country, small ants will always be attracted to decaying food if left out and not stored away in either the fridge or storage jars found in the cupboards. Also, any sticky, unwashed surfaces will likewise attract unwanted insect life if not cleaned regularly. Our very helpful Maintenance Company are on hand to deal with any instances if they are informed immediately. They are extremely well prepared and only too happy to assist whenever possible. Since your visit we are very happy to say that a thorough 'in-depth' clean has taken place throughout this entire property and we can now report on no further incidents of unwelcome visitors! Thank you again for assisting us in maintaining our property to the high standard that we expect for all our visiting guests. |

We stayed here in Mar 2011. The Villa is close to the sea, with great views. Also the pool is lovely and heated. It location is just 10 mins drive from Reina Sofia Airport (South Airport). It is set in a quiet area. The first floor sun terrace was a great with views out to sea. All in all a lovely spot and great value. |
