About the home

Finca Paloma is a detached, fully refurbished, Canarian Villa with traditional featured, vault-beamed ceilings. Set in exquisite landscaped gardens, surrounded by mature palm trees and exotic plants. The fully heated Swimming Pool and Sun Terraces command stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, Montana Roja and the beautiful beaches of El Medano.

This Fabulous Villa is perfectly positioned in tranquil gardens and is ideal for couples requiring a quiet, relaxing retreat. It's spacious interior is designed with 5* furnishings and is accompanied by Egyptian cotton linens and quality towels. Highly equipped with all mod cons, private driveway, via electrically operated gates and ample parking. Everything has been provided for your indulgent getaway. The South facing balcony has lounge seating and teak table and chairs for 'Al Fresco' dining. There are two patio areas for sun-bathing, one extended with traditional and Gas BBQ's. Simply sit back and take in the views of the Coast and to the north, Teide National Park.

This Las Palomas Luxury Accommodation is adjacent to the village of El Salto, San Jose, Canarian Restaurant and is only 2km from the lively and excellent shopping town of San Isidro. Set in the district of Granadilla, the main town contains museums, churches and many buildings in typical Spanish architecture. Try out the local wines and visit the vineyards.

The kitchen is fully equipped with all mod cons, including dishwasher, microwave, hob, oven, fridge/freezer. There is a full supply of glassware and utensils for all your cooking, dining and serving needs.

All rooms have ceramic tiled floors to keep the accommodation cool in the summer.
All rooms have ceiling fans with adjustable speed for your comfort.
We supply an electric heater for any chilly winter nights.
There is also a SKY satellite TV system. DVD Player and a selection of DVDs for your entertainment.

A sun terrace runs the length of the lounge and bedroom, which makes an ideal area for outdoor relaxing and meals. A Gas BBQ & Traditional Charcoal BBQ is also available. The entrance to the villa is via electric gates, for privacy and has ample parking. The Owners are on hand if the need arises, this a large plot of land and they live within the grounds in a separate Villa towards the rear. There is a secluded area for sunbathing, which is surrounded by tropical plants and trees, this leads to the heated swimming pool and additional sunbathing area with panoramic views.

The Tenerife region

Las Palomas is located within a small village hamlet called El Salto. This is a very beautiful area with stunning mountain scenery and only a 15 minute drive from Tenerife South Airport. It is not on the flightpath and not troubled by airport noise. The beach of El Medano is only a short distance drive away and offers an array of water sports. El Medano offers great evening entertainment for adults and children with many fiestas and fireworks. Beautiful restaurants surround the beaches and there is much to see and do. For the golf lovers amongst you there are several Championship Golf Courses all within a 10 minute drive from Finca Palomas. San Isidro is a local village offering many designer shops and restaurants. Eating and shopping here is a delight.

The El Medano / Granadilla area

The beach of El Medano is only a short distance drive away and offers an array of water sports. El Medano offers great evening entertainment for adults and children with many fiestas and fireworks. Beautiful restaurants surround the beaches and there is much to see and do. For the golf lovers amongst you there are several championship golf courses all within a 10 minute drive from Finca Paloma.

Fly from any UK airport to Tenerife South, where there are ample car rental companies or rent a car direct on the Internet. Then you have a 20 minute drive to your holiday accommodation which is set nestled into the hills.

“Luxurious peaceful retreat” Not far from the airport, very quite peaceful secluded spot with a lovely view. David and Rosemary were excellent hosts. Pool was great.

Better late than never, I'm writing to thank you both for the wonderful time we had at Finca Paloma.

You made us feel so welcome and you had thought of everything we could possibly need for our stay. The pool was actually as warm as your web site promised....how rare is that?! The restaurants you recommended were superb.

If there's any complaint at all, it's that we only had time to stay for a week!

We enjoyed our stay very much. Finca Paloma is a very comfortable and wonderful place to stay; away from the rat race, but close enough for all our needs. Shame we could not bring the pool back with us!

We both had a wonderful time in Tenerife and the Finca is just the perfect "base" to explore the whole island. The villa is wonderfully equipped with everything (and more) that is required, it even made cooking "at home" enjoyable which is rare in most holiday villas I have stayed in before. The
standard of finish is just fantastic, it's all thoughtfully laid out and impeccably clean.

When I opened the DVD booklet and all the DVD were the right way up - it's the little things like that really impressed me, slightly sad maybe.
The thoughtful addition of a well stocked welcome pack and the bubbles just the ice on the cake! A great Finca, superb location and with amazing views - I wish I could eat breakfast everyday on the front veranda looking down over the coast.

The only thing I can think of which we thought about was it would be great to have some kind of light on the lower "gas BBQ area" under the pergola – it would make evening BBQ's easier but other than that I really can't fault it, a perfect Finca and a very memorable holiday - thank YOU!
