The Costa Tropical region
On the Costa Tropical you wil find Castell de Ferro a costal town in the principality of Granada
The coast line has extensive beaches, like the rocky cove of La Rijana, the quiet cove of El Lance, the large open beaches of Castell and Calahonda, many with old fortications still remaining from it's moorish times
Whether it be the Sierra Nevada and Granada that interest you, or maybe the natural park at Cabo de Gato, the Caves at Nerja, Castillo de San Miguel in Almunecar you are in a great place to go exploring, always knowing the warmth and sun are on your side
The village of El Ferrer, is situated 7Km inland from the coastal town of Castell de Ferro. In the Foothills of the Sierra Nevada
(Contraviesa montain range)
What was once an old abandoned white washed village has over the last 20 years or so with some "tender loving Care" been brought back to life.
The village is a must for those wanting peace and " you time" and here the hassle of the outside world does not feature.
Go down to the Coastal town of Castell De Ferro, which started its life as an old fishing town, even today you can still see the boats on the beach. Here you will find bars with internet facilites, restaurants, banks and shops
Test the waters at midnight on San Juan in June. Dive in if you dare and come out 10 years younger (never yet worked for me, but worth a try)
Join the festivies in July "Virgin del Carmen" processions and fairs
Just a couple of the local festivals, not to mention the wine and horse fairs in the neighbouring villages
