The Andalucia region
On the Costa Tropical you wil find Castell de Ferro a costal town in the principality of Granada
The coast line has extensive beaches, like the rocky cove of La Rijana, the quiet cove of El Lance, the large open beaches of Castell and Calahonda, many with old fortications still remaining from it's moorish times
Whether it be the Sierra Nevada and Granada that interest you, or maybe the natural park at Cabo de Gato, the Caves at Nerja, Castillo de San Miguel in Almunecar you are in a great place to go exploring, always knowing the warmth and sun are on your side
The village of El Ferrer, is situated 7Km inland from the coastal town of Castell de Ferro. In the Foothills of the Sierra Nevada
(Contraviesa montain range)
What was once an old abandoned white washed village has over the last 20 years or so with some "tender loving Care" been brought back to life.
The village is a must for those wanting peace and " you time" and here the hassle of the outside world does not feature.
Go down to the Coastal town of Castell De Ferro, which started its life as an old fishing town, even today you can still see the boats on the beach. Here you will find bars with internet facilites, restaurants, banks and shops
Test the waters at midnight on San Juan in June. Dive in if you dare and come out 10 years younger (never yet worked for me, but worth a try)
Join the festivies in July "Virgin del Carmen" processions and fairs
Just a couple of the local festivals, not to mention the wine and horse fairs in the neighbouring villages

"Relaxing, peaceful, scenic,"
If you want somewhere that is quiet and peaceful then this is the house for you, the house has everything you need and then more, the owners are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble, the village is very quaint with no through road there's no traffic so safe for children, if there is a down side then it has to be the road up to the house a bit of a dirt track? but you soon get used to it. over all we had a great time and would definitely recommend it

"fantastic family accomodation."
We arrived to find a lovley family property in a typical spanish village. Niki our host had left a well stocked fridge consisting of jam, water& orange juice and fruit. There was also fresh bread, cereal and butter.
The woodburner was a real treat with an endless supply of wood to use.
The property was very spacious and homley for our family stay and had everything you might need from a iron, hairdryer, games, books, video and even an i pod docking station which was really handy.
The outside terrace was a real bonus, enabling us to sit out and enjoy a glass of wine or soak in the hot tub.
The location was good , close to the local town and beach.
Overall a great propert in a good location..

"A village hidden in the moutains but close to all you need and more"
Quiet village, surrounded by moutainside, great for walking, beach is a short drive down to the main town, lovely beach (pebbles) and restaurants. Sierra Nevada mountains - 1 and half hours drive away - best kept secret, both for winter skiing and summer walking. Accommodation excellent, spacious with everything you need and with invites to local village and surrouding events then life can be as quick or as slow as you choose.............a must to return to as impossible to see and do all that is possible in one visit.......
