Home description

A very modern duplex apartment in the quiet fishing village of El Cotillo. Ideally located it is only a few minutes walk to fantastic beaches, shallow lagoons and a selection of superb restaurants.

The apartment has been well finished and beautifully furnished throughout to a very high standard and briefly comprises of the following.

A very large (45m2) enclosed sun terrace with sea views. Ideal for relaxing, private sunbathing, 'al fresco' dining/entertaining and also a secure area for children to play. Furnished with table, chairs, parasol and sun loungers, leading to...

A light and spacious open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. The kitchen is fully equipped, the dining area seats 4 and the lounge area is furnished with 2 seater leather sofa, individual leather chairs, coffee table and variable lighting. Entertainment is provided, large TV, DVD and Hi- Fi systems with a good selection of DVD's and CD's.

A hallway leads you to the first bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom consists of 2 single beds, bedside cabinet, individual lighting, dressing table, chairs, mirrors and a large fitted wardrobe. The bathroom is fully tiled and has a 3 piece bathroom suite with shower.

Stairs from the living area lead you to a large second floor bedroom with 'en suite'. There's an impressive bedroom 'suite' with a king size bed, bedside cabinets, wardrobe, dressing table/draws, bench/chair and mirrors. The 'en suite' bathroom is fully tiled and has a 2 piece bathroom suite with shower. Both bedrooms have been fitted with ceiling fans for additional comfort.

The second bedroom leads you onto a second large (25m2) west facing terrace with an open aspect and various views of the mountains, sea and the village. Ideal for relaxing in the late afternoon & evening sun it’s furnished with table, chairs and sun loungers.

An English management team provide local representation and are polite, helpful and knowledgeable.
Airport transfers are available for people not wishing to hire a car.

The Fuerteventura region

Fuerteventura is the second largest Canary island and is the closest to the African coast, it is also regarded as the oldest of all the Canaries. The weather on this beautiful island boasts three thousand hours of sunshine a year, making it an ideal holiday location.

A perfect destination for the beach lover, however this versatile island has plenty to offer everyone, from watersports, fishing, museums, camel safari's and more. There is plenty of sightseeing to do as well as nature reserves and taking in the views of the large plains and volcanic mountains is a must. It's not the place for all-night parties but it is perfect for families and couples seeking a relaxed sunny holiday.


El Cotillo area

The fishing village of El Cotillo is small and rustic. It's tucked away in a quiet corner of Fuerteventura on the Atlantic coast and away from the main tourist resorts, the secluded feel will appeal to many. The main attraction is the wonderful beaches. To the north of the village there are a series of fine white sandy coves sheltered by black volcanic rock outcrops and leading into shallow turquoise lagoons they are visually striking. The further you go, the more secluded they become (like being on your own desert island!). To the south, you will find longer stretches of sand backed by dramatic cliffs perfect for a sunset walk. Exposed to the full force of the Atlantic they provide perfect conditions for all water sports (surfing, windsurfing & kite surfing etc).

Equally appealing are the many superb local restaurants, serving everything from local 'Canarian' dishes to international cuisine and a few very chic cafés. There are also a number of well-stocked 'mini' markets for the essentials. Other than that, there are comparatively few local tourist amenities, which makes for a very relaxing "chilled out" holiday. If things become too relaxing the main tourist town of Corralejo is a 15-minute drive (or bus) away providing the usual array of pleasant shops, bars and entertainment. Other closer attractions include camel rides and the 'old' capital of La Oliva.

Although not essential, car hire is recommended. It's cheap, the roads are superb and virtually deserted and it's a true joy to drive with stunning scenery and many interesting places to visit.

Fly to Fuerteventura Airport (Fue), onwards to El Cotillo (approx. 45km) by the following:-
