A two bedroom/two bathroom apartment which is on the first floor of a two storey building.

Its situation, close to a choice of wonderful wide sandy beaches, ranging from rolling, exciting surf to safe shallow lagoons, and a good selection of restaurants, suits the people who are looking for a relatively quiet, 'chill out' holiday experience.

The Fuerteventura region

Fuertevetura is the second largest of the Canary Islands and remains relatively undiscovered and with more than 150 idyllic sandy beaches offers an amazing choice for the holiday visitor.

The fact that it is bathed in sunshine for an average of nearly 3,000 hours per year makes it the perfect destination for pure relaxation.


El Cotillo area

El Cotillo, a rustic and still relatively unspoilt village on the north western side of the island, is centred around its two harbours. It has two distinct beach areas, both within easy reach of the apartment.

The closest beach, to the south of the village, a 5 minute walk away, is long, sandy and unspoilt. If rolling waves, surfboarding or the now popular kiteboarding is your thing (or you just like to swim in rolling seas) then this is the beach for you.

Should you feel like a more relaxing swim then you have a vast choice of quiet beaches to the north of the village. The white, sandy coves stretch to the lighthouse and beyond, are separated into lagoons making swimming here very safe.

El Cotillo boasts several good restaurants many serving a selection of local fish dishes, all of which are within easy walking distance of the apartment. Other amenities include small supermarkets, 2 bakeries,banks, and an internet cafe.

Should you feel the need for a busier pace of life, or just want to do some shopping, Corralejo is approximately 20 minutes drive away. It is a lively resort with a pleasant harbour area, and lots of shops, bars and restaurants. There is a water park, tenpin bowling and nightclubs. From Corralejo you can also get the ferry to Lanzarote or the island of Lobos.

Both the local arts centre in La Oliva and the old island capital of Betancuria are well worth a visit.

El Cotillo is on the north west coast of Fuerteventura, approximately 40 minutes drive from the airport.

A wide, airy corridor opens leads to living accommodation which is bathed in sunlight and opens directly onto a terrace suitable for dining, relaxing or just taking in the various views. The large modern lounge has variable lighting, including a good reading light, a coffee table and a fitted ceiling fan.

The separate, fully equipped kitchen has its own access door to the terrace which is ideal for outdoor eating. In addition, there is a utility room which is used as the storeroom for the terrace furniture and also contains a safe.

Both bedrooms (1 king sized bed and 1 twin bedded) have individual bedside cabinets & lighting, generous sized fitted wardrobes, separate dressing tables and are fitted with a ceiling fans.

Bathroom 1 has a full sized bath with shower over, is fully tiled and has a 3 piece bathroom suite and the usual modern 'fittings' including a shaver point. Bathroom 2 is similar to bathroom 1 but contains a shower unit.

Linen and towels (not beach) are provided.

Further details outdoors:
The private, spacious terrace has stunning views variously to the mountains, sea, village and to the lighthouse.

It is ideal for all day relaxation - eating and lazing - from breakfast to dinner time, and is furnished with loungers, table and chairs (seating 6) and a large parasol to keep out the midday sun.

The terrace is particularly well protected from prevailing winds.

Refundable breakages deposit not required, but it is requested that any damage that occurs is notified, and a payment is made to fix it.

Cot hire, welcome packs, local car hire can be arranged through the local English speaking managment team.
