The Fuerteventura region
Fuerteventura is the second largest of the Canary Islands and is relatively undeveloped. The island is known for its beautiful beaches, crystal clear water and breathtaking mountain views. It has a 12 month holiday season due to its subtropical climate (temperatures usually range from 18-26C) and has very little rain. The sun shines on average about 2800 hours per year (8 hours a day). Not only is it a perfect destination for those wanting just to relax on sundrenched beaches, there are also lots of sporting activities on offer - eg surfing, kite surfing, windsurfing, quad biking, cycling, golf, fishing. There are also other very accessible activities, such as a local water park, a zoo, a range of museums and camel safaris.
El Cotillo area
El Cotillo is situated on the NW corner of Fuerteventura and its main attractions are the fantastic beaches. Playa de los Lagos is composed of wonderful secluded white sand inlets and clear blue lagoons, perfect for safe swimming, rock pooling and fishing. Playa del Castillo is a huge wild beach, fantastic for surfing, kite surfing, body boarding, wind surfing, or just playing in the waves. El Cotillo has a good selection of restaurants walking distance from the apartment. There are also 4 small mini-marts, 2 bakeries, 2 banks, a pharmacy, an internet cafe and a couple of tiny gift shops. Corralejo is a much busier and larger town and is only a 20 minute drive away. There is a regular and reliable bus service which can be used to access the rest of the island with ease.

Further details indoors: The apartment is modern and luxurious and comprises of the following: The main living area is open plan and has a wonderful window overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. There is a fully fitted kitchen with a full oven, hob, extractor hood, large fridge freezer and a dishwasher, a dining area, and a living area with 2 large leather sofas seating up to 5 people. Entertainment is provided via satalite TV(which has a huge range of channels), a DVD player with a selection of DVDs and a Playstation. There is variable lighting. A hallway leads through to a bedroom and bathroom. The bedroom consists of 2 single beds, 2 cabinets, individual lighting, a chest of drawers, mirror and a large built in wardrobe. There are blackout curtains, ideal for afternoon naps or avoiding early morning wakening. There is plenty of space for a further bed - a very comfortable and high quality guest bed is stored elsewhere in the apartment when it is not required. There is also a ceiling fan - perfect for keeping cool. The bathroom is modern and fully tiled and has 3 piece suite and walk in shower. A marble stairway from the living area leads to a large and airy master bedroom and to the second terrace. The contemporary and high quality bedroom furniture includes a very comfortable kingsize bed, 2 cabinets, individual lighting, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers and mirror. There are also blackout curtains and a ceiling fan in this room. The en suite bathroom is fully tiled and has a 2 piece suite and walk in shower. The washing machine is housed in this room.
Further details outdoors: There is a secure entrance door with an intercom and remote access which leads to a stairway and a further secure door. This opens to an enormous(45m2) terrace with sea and mountain views. It is ideal as a further living space; for children playing, outdoor dining and private sunbathing. It is furnished with high quality sunloungers, a large table with 6 very comfortable chairs, a large canvas umbrella and a feature barbecue. The master bedroom leads onto a large (25m2) second terrace, with an open aspect and sea and mountain views. The terrace is furnished with 2 sunloungers and an exquisite mosaic dining table with 4 chairs. This is a lovely place to enjoy the early morning sunshine with a coffee, experiencing the wonderful views. It is also ideal for all day sunbathing, being private and sheltered.

An English management team provide a very comprehensive service and are on hand to ensure that you enjoy your stay. Cots, highchairs, stairgates and welcome packs can be hired on request. Babysitting is available. Additional cleaning can be arranged. Airport transfers are available.
