Set amid the cobbled alleyways of the Old Harbour area this beautiful apartment offers the ideal location for a relaxing, stress free holiday.
Located just 50 mtrs from the water’s edge and less than a minute’s walk from the picturesque Old Harbour with its numerous bars and restaurants this well equipped apartment (now with Sat TV) is also within easy walking distance of Cotillo’s magnificent beaches.
The rear patio is furnished with table & chairs and is also useful for storing your surf board!
The stunning roof terrace is equipped with sun beds, it’s also a great place from which to watch Cotillo’s renowned sunsets

The Fuerteventura region

Fuerteventura is the second largest of the Canary Islands, but the least developed. Situated on the same latitude as Florida and Mexico and only 100 kms from Morocco, it basks in 3000 hours of sunshine per year. It has the best beaches of all the Canary Islands, 150 in total, and unlike the other islands most of the beaches are of fine golden sand. Indeed the beaches here are considered to be among the best in the world.

The island is a mecca for water sport enthusiasts and the world wind surfing championships are held here every year.

There are three main tourist areas: Jandia in the south is predominantly a German resort; Caleta de Fuste on the east coast near the airport is a purpose built tourist area and Corralejo in the north is a rapidly expanding tourist resort complete with water park and local market.

Twelve miles from Corralejo on the west coast you will find El Cotillo.

The El Cotillo area

The perfect destination for those looking for a quiet peaceful holiday. If tranquility is your requirement then Cotillo is the place for you. Fuerteventura has an abundance of white sandy beaches and El Cotillo has some of the best.

A short walk to the north of the village lie the famous lagoon beaches, perfect for swimming and very safe. To the south lies the Playa del Castillo, 2 kms long and used mainly for water sports, surfing, kite-surfing, wind-surfing etc. Further to the south lie the beaches of Playa del Ajibe and Playa del Aguila, both wild and remote. This area is truly the surfing and wind-surfing mecca of the island.

El Cotillo is still a working fishing village and the local boats land most of their catch directly to the local restaurants, so you are guaranteed fresh fish!

The village has a great selection of restaurants, with something to suit every taste and budget.

Direct flights to Fuerteventura from most UK airports.
Ryanair have direct flights from Dublin, Shannon and Liverpool.
El Cotillo is 40 mins from the airport, car hire recommended but airport transfers can be arranged.

“Comfortable appartment perfectly located in El Cotillo” We love El Cotillo and have visited many times but this was the first time we have actually stayed in the Town, and we were so pleased we did. The apartment itself is perfectly located in the old town, close to the Harbour and both beaches, its well furnished, comfortable and shares a large roof terrace. Carol was very efficient and made the whole booking process completely painless. When we arrived in El Cotillo she was waiting for us as arranged and gave us a tour of the apartment as well as recommending places to eat. The weather was perfect, we were spoilt for choice for good restaurants. All in all an excellent holiday and the Hideaway is somewhere we would really recommend.
