Home description
The apartment cosists of:
A secure main entrance door with intercom.
A spacious open plan lounge, dining and kitchen area. The kitchen is fully equipped and has the benefit of marble worktops. The dining area seats 4 and the lounge area is furnished with leather sofas, coffee table and variable lighting and ceiling fans. Entertainment is provided via TV and DVD player with a good selection of DVD's and CD's. Plus a small selection of board games and books.
The hallway leads you to the bedrooms, utility room (with washing machine), and bathroom. The bedrooms provide 1 double and 2 single beds, bedside cabinets, mirrors and large fitted wardrobes. The bathroom is fully tiled and has a 4-piece bathroom suite with shower. Both bedrooms have been fitted with ceiling fans for additional comfort.
The second bedroom gives access to the rear fully enclosed terrace.
The lounge also leads onto the front sun terrace via large french doors. It’s furnished with a table and 4 chairs along with various pots & plants

The Fuerteventura region
Fuerteventura is often referred to as the isle of tranquility. The climate is generally good all year round. There is often a breeze which is beneficial particularly in the Summer months when it can get quite hot. The air is clean, the beaches are of a very high standard with aquamarine sea.
Fuerteventura has a number of Volcanic Craters which is a great contrast to the pure white sandy beaches throughout the Island.
There are numerous fiestas / events, throughout the year which are generally free of charge. Local people are very friendly and welcoming - in the main tourist areas most restaurants/bars/shops speak a little English which is helpful if your Spanish isnt up to scratch!
The roads are of a good standard - with very little traffic.
There are Doctors/Dentists of a high standard on the Island - again, most speak English.
El Cotillo / La Oliva area
El Cotillo is a small fishing village which has two harbours - the Old traditional and the new. There are a good selection of restaurants catering for all tastes. There are a number of excelllent traditional Canarian fish restaurants within easy walking distance. And very reasonably priced.
El Cotillo hosts an array of beautiful clean beaches and lagoons within easy walking distance , boasting pure white sands and aquamarine sea. They really have to be seen to be appreciated fully. In contrast to this though there are rockpools by the Lighthouse which host plenty of fish and forna. Good for keeping kids entertained for hours.
El Cotillo has a festival in August for two weeks which comprises of firework displays, traditional bands and rock/pop concerts.
There are numerous music festivals all year round but fortunately not within earshot of the apartment! There is a Supermarket within 5 mins walk with a good selection of both local and International Fare. Bigger Supermarkets/ shops are available in Corralejo, Caleta de Fuste, and the Capital Puerto Del Rosario. All within 45 mins drive.
There is a Water park, newly opened sea life centre and golf courses within 30 mins drive.
How to get there
Fly to Fuerteventura Airport (Fue), onwards to El Cotillo (approx. 45km) by the following:-

Numerous car hire providers on the Island - however recommend holidayautos.com - they seem very reasonable - and I have found that its cheaper to book it on line from the uk

Further details outdoors: Unlike an exposed roof terrace, the main terrace/patio, being partially enclosed, is ideal for sunbathing, sitting out etc and due to the positioning of this apartment you can enjoy the sun from mid morning right through to the evening.

The English owner lives on the island and is always contactable, and therefore can provide information and advice as required and can hence ensure that the apartment is always presented at its best.
