'Casa Doric' is a charming detached private villa of local design built on two levels and set within half an acre of gardens, with lovely views of the surrounding countryside ans coast. The first level accommodates three double bedrooms, two bathrooms one with a bath and bidet and the other with a shower. A well equipped kitchen with microwave oven, electric oven, gas hob,large fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, a bar area, a living room/dinning room with log burning fireplace. Outside there is a balcony with a further dinning table overlooking the floodlit pool with its own shower, patio,sun bed's and garden below. A new 42in flat screen satellite TV with over 100 English channels including BBC1 & 2, ITV1,2 & 3,channel 4 & 5 in addition to French, German, & Dutch channels.Internet connection is available at the villa.There are fans in all the bedrooms along with heating for those winter rentals.
Casa Doric is located 500 meters from a sandy beach in a small and quiet bay located within a short 5 minute drive or tram ride away from the large town of El Campello. Venta Lanuza is a small bay offering a handful of bars and restaurants, two smaller supermarkets, sandy beach and small boating marina. The beach is very safe for swimming, with a lifeguard during the summer months, there is a great beach bar located on the beach offering drinks and snacks, parasol and sunbed hire.
Venta Lanuza is on a great transport link, the tram station is a five minute walk from the villa, running every hour day and night during the summer months, to El Campello, San Juan and on to Alicante and in the other direction to Villa Joyosa, Benidorm and even as far as Denia. The tram is a great and easy way to get around and take in some of the Coast line.

Further details
Bath towels and bed linen are supplied. Electricity and Gas is included in the price. The final cleaning is charged at the rate of £65 and laundry at £45 per stay. A fully refundable damage deposit of £200 will need to be paid with the final balance. Your deposit will be fully refunded to you within 10 days after your departure subject to no damage.

There is a scenic coastal railway that runs between Alicante and Denia and stops at Venta Lanuza station which is 5 minutes walk from the villa Cassa Doric. The service runs every 30 minutes from 9am to 10pm seven days a week.
El Campello is a privileged place situated in the heart of the Costa Blanca only 10km from Alicante and is the nearest town to the villa where there are many good bars and restaurants with fish as a particular speciality. It has been transformed from the fishermans town it once was to one of the leading Spanish tourist communities.
With 23 km of coast it is an oasis for your senses on this stretched shore, you will find sandy beaches and bays where you can explore any water sports. They all have the blue flag as well as a ISO 14001 Creditation for water quality and service.
This together with more than 250 days of Sun with an average temperature of 20 degrees makes it a very pleasant place to spend your holiday.
Situated between the historic Alicante and lively Benidorm, this villa has everything a family or family's could wish for! Transfer time from Alicante airport is just 20minute drive, we can also arrange private taxi transfer.
The El Campello / Venta Lanuza area
El Campello is a perfect destination, offering 23km of golden sand beaches, marina, weekly markets, restaurants, shops and bars...there is even a children's club set up on the beach for small children to take advantage of with face painting, drawing and games...all for free. El Campello is a lovely place to visit and wander around the cobbled streets within the older part of this town. Located just 10 minutes from the centre of Alicante.
There are several golf courses within 30 minutes drive, trips to Cueva Canalobre in Busot, the Sunday anitque market in Aguas de Busot, the shoe market at Torremanzanas, the famous town of Quadalest, the waterfalls in Callosa, Terra Mitica, agua parque and Terra Natura, boat trips to Tabarga or just along the coast.
Throughout the year, there are local festivals like the procession at Semana Santa, Moros y Christianos, historic car show, weekly market (Wednesday), concerts and other public performances.
Extended night-ife you will find in Alicante which is easily reached by either Car or Train.

Car is recommended, public transport is offered. There is a hourly bus service to El Campello. Taxis can be arranged to pick you up at Alicante Airport and take you to the villa by prior arrangement. After a few days with the boys in Alicante & Calpe - it was time for a slower pace with the family. Casa Doric looks exactley as it appears on the Holiday Lettings web site altho if anything its better in the flesh. The view from the verandah down over the pool and the sea beyond is great. The pool with outdoor shower & garden area is the highlight of the villa & compared to booking 3 hotel rooms Casa Doric was amazing value for money with the upside of total privacy and a real feeling of security. We had a toddler with us so the steps down had to be carefully guarded but with 6 adoring adults that was not too difficult. A car is essential as nearest shops are some way away & there are only a couple of bars/cafes within walking distance.Not a place for ravers! A big plus for us though was leaving the car behind & catching the train into Alicante & Benidorm ( there are some nice parts with genuine tapas to be had) Another find was a newly opened restaurant called Mims on the left had side on way to El Campello. I stayed here a few years ago when it was looking a bit tired but the owners have obviously been busy on its upkeep. |
