Edinburgh / West End area

Drumsheugh Gardens, situated in Edinburgh's West End is just a 5 minute walk from Princes street and an easy distance to many of Edinburgh's attractions. You can take a stroll up to the castle that sits overlooking the city or hit the shops that run along Princes street. There is also a supermarket and other local shops located a short distance away on Shandwick Place and the apartment is very easily accessed from either the train station or the airport.

Edinburgh is famous for its excellent festivals, with the summer month crammed full of the both the International and fringe festival as well as many others. Comedy, music, drama and theatre are all performed right across the city and the apartment offers an excellent base for exploring these. You could also take a walk up Arthurs seat, or a trip to Holyrood Palace which is the official Scottish residence of the Queen.

How to get there

Fly direct into Edinburgh airport which is 20 minutes drive from the property depending on time of day.
Cheap flights available from most low cost carriers.
Car hire available from all the majors.
Local airport buses run regularly between the airport and the city and cost £5 return-these buses stop with 400 m of the apartment.

There are always local taxis available - fare should be no more than £20

Guestbook for Drumsheugh Gardens

We stayed here for our friend's 40th birthday...what a treat....the drawingroom is vast and opulent-I have never been in a grander room except in very large public Ares in hotels.

This property was bright and clean and in a wonderful location. I would recommend it to anybody. From the moment I set eyes on the living room, I was in love. There is a real sense of character to this place.

Terrific location, very comfortable beds, every mod con, wonderful windows, beautiful spacious flat with everything you need for a holiday in Edinburgh. We loved it.
