About the home

Our second floor apartment is ideally located for exploring Edinburgh and the surrounding area. It is only 5 minutes by bus from Princes Street, The Royal Mile and the Playhouse Theatre (or an approximately 15 minute walk).

There is free parking just round the corner of the apartment in the side streets.

The apartment has a living room with comfortable seating area, dining area, 42” flat screen TV, radio alarm clock and internet computer with broadband connection. Books, various board games and toys are provided for use by guests.

The modern kitchen is fully-fitted with an oven, hob, microwave, washing machine, fridge-freezer and various kitchen gadgets.

There is one bedroom with a Super King size Four Poster bed, one twin bedroom and a comfortable luxurious double sofa bed in the living room, providing sleeping accommodation for up to 6 people. Duvets, pillows, linen and towels are included in the rental and changed on a weekly basis. A travel cot and high chair can be supplied by prior arrangement.

The bathroom has a toilet, roll-top bath and power shower.

We are a non-smoking accommodation.

A supermarket is just on the doorstep and also nice, convenient small shops ranging from wine merchants, a pet-shop, fruit and veg shops and gift shops. For those who do not feel like cooking there are take-away shops and good quality restaurants very close by.

A basket, bedding, bowls and a cat-litter tray are provided for your pet. The apartment has a large crate available and additional crates can be provided.

And as for the weather: yes it rains. And snows. And we do have some sunshine too. And sometimes all of it in one day! But with as many indoor activities as outdoor activities, Edinburgh has something to offer no matter what the weather is like.

Edinburgh has a relatively mild climate, being on the East Coast of Scotland. It provides a great base for exploring the South of Scotland, but also allows you to get to the highlands within a few hours drive.

The Edinburgh area

Edinburgh has lots to offer for young and old. The Edinburgh International Festival, Edinburgh Festival Fringe and Book Festival draw crowds in August, and the Edinburgh Military Tattoo is sure not to disappoint.

But August is not the only time of year to visit our city. December offers the Capital Christmas Festival and the World Famous Edinburgh Hogmanay Celebrations. Rugby fans can enjoy the Heineken Rugby Final or the 6 Nations cup at various times of year, and other sporting events include the Bupa Great Edinburgh Run, The Moon Walk, Edinburgh Marathon and much more.

The Film Festival in June brings in the rich and famous and not to miss for a bit of star spotting and good films from all over the world.

But there is much more. Whether you wish to trace your ancestors, visit the castle, explore the dark underground world by taking an exciting ghost tour or shop till you drop, you will find it in Edinburgh. And with excellent restaurants and bars and a great farmers market Edinburgh firmly established its self on the culinary map of Britain. A real foodie heaven!

We are approximately 1 mile from Waverley Station (Princes Street). You can easily reach our apartment by bus (5-10 mintes), taxi (5 minutes) or foot (15 minutes).

We are approximately 7 miles from Edinburgh airport.

We are also on the A1 route into the city centre and approximately 20 minutes drivve from the Forth Road Bridge. There is free parking on the side streets. The transport links in and around Edinburgh are great so you won't need a car once you're here.

Please note that should you choose to cancel we can only refund this payment if we manage to re-let the property. If the property has to be re-let at a lower charge we reserve the right to retain the difference from your payment.
