Shoppers will be delighted to traverse nearby Princes street and Multrees Walk.

There is an abundance of restaurants, trendy bars, traditional pubs, galleries and historic sites to visit. Edinburgh Castle is 0.7 miles away and the Scottish Parliament 0.4 miles.

Feel free to tap into my local knowledge for hints and tips.

Edinburgh also boasts an award winning bus service, making visits to sites such as Rosslyn chapel simple.

For families, there are many things to see and do. One may wish to visit the recently renovated museum on Chambers Street, or the museum of childhood on the Royal Mile. If your children enjoy a fright or a thrill, the Edinburgh Dungeons are perhaps better suited.

If one needs to escape (weather permitting!), there are numerous parks sprawled across the city, including Princes Street Gardens, the Meadows, the Royal Botanical Gardens, and other parks are all freely at your disposal to enjoy.
