There are numerous quality restaurants within minutes of the apartment, as well as a lovely selection of pubs to choose from, modern and traditional. We also have menus for our favourite home delivery available in the apartment, if you prefer a wee night in with your feet up.
Broughton Street has many award winning bars as well as Crombie's Butchers and Real Foods. Valvona and Crolla at the top of Leith walk is a wonderful Italian deli - a must for any foodies. Cannonmills and Stockbridge are within easy reach and both have some lovely independent retailers on their respective parades. Princes Street and George Street have all the usual highstreet names you would expect.
Things to do on your visit to Edinburgh, The Botanical Gardens, Inverleith Park, Royal Yacht Britannia, Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, The Scottish Parliment, Arthur's seat and Holyrood Park. Edinburgh is well-known for the annual Edinburgh Festival, a collection of official and independent festivals held annually over about four weeks from early August. The most famous of these events are the Edinburgh Fringe (the largest performing arts festival in the world), the Edinburgh International Festival, the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, and the Edinburgh International Book Festival. Other events include the Hogmanay street party (31 December), Burns Night (25 January) and the Beltane Fire Festival (30 April).

"spacious and comfortable"
We stayed for 3 nights with 4 adults and one baby. It was very convenient for us because we each had one room, even the baby. The two full baths are convenient also. There is a hallway that separates two of the bedrooms from the kitchen/living area, so if someone wanted to go to bed early, they wouldn't be disturbed by noise. We were tired after sight seeing and it was nice to have a homey place to go back to and eat and relax and watch tv.
We were able to walk from the train and bus station to get to the property. There's a parking space, but we didn't rent a car. There are a couple of grocery stores nearby, so we could get food to cook in the kitchen. While staying there we were able to get to the Royal Mile, the Edinburgh Botanic Garden, & Arthur's seat.
We washed and dried our clothes at the apartment and we were glad to have that amenity in order to be able to pack less in our suitcase. We are used to larger American machines, so we couldn't wash as much as we wanted to in one load, but the machine still did it's job.
There are steps at the front entrance of the building. We had a baby stroller, but there's only a few steps and we were able to lift the stroller up. We traveled with 2 senior citizens, and they had no problem.
The place was clean and well maintained.
