Edinburgh is a city full of history and is noted for it's parks which are in the heart of the city, giving a rural feel in an urban setting. The surrounding Lothians are famous for their golf courses and magnificent scenery.
The area is on the Leith waterfront which has been extensively restored and is now a cosmopolitan mix of loft apartments, restaurants, pubs and historical buildings such as Lamb's House and South Leith Parish Church. There is a Jazz and blues festival in Leith in June and the Mela is in September.
