The Retreat is a newly built ,luxurious detached house situated in secluded location in small town from Penicuik, just 5 miles from Edinburgh.
The property consists of:
Fabulous entrance hall with oak flooring, solid oak stair case, double height cupola which allows a flood of light throughout the whole property. There is a clockroom toilet with granite sink base, fullly glazed door leads you to the large lounge with contemporary remote control gas fire, double glazed oak doors leads out through to the dining room with doors leading out to rear garden. Double oak doors leads you through to the superb open plan kitchen with stunning black granite worktops, SMEG fridge/freezer, dishwasher & double sized gas oven, an archway take you through to the large sun room which has windows on all sides giving lovely views over large decking area and hot tub.
The kitchen gives access to a great sized utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, sink and ample units and another door takes you to the Swimming Pool Complex which is for the exclusive use of our guests.

The Central Scotland/Edinburgh region
Penicuik is a lovely historic town 5 miles outside Edinburgh. The house is just 5 minutes walk from the town centre which has a Tesco supermarket, restaurants, pubs, shops, post office, petrol station, hairdressers, indoor children's play centre & laser quest, a newly completed 10 million pound swimming pool/health centre which has a fitness suite, health suite, library, computer suite & large games hall. The house has lovely views over two parks one of which has a children's play area and basketball court, the other is used for rugby, football and archery.
Regular buses take you to Edinburgh in about 35 mins, as Penicuik is on the outskirts of the Scottish Borders you can visit the beautiful town of Peebles, go fishing, hill walking or wind surfing on Saint Marys Loch .
The house is situated 4 miles from the infamous Roslin Chapel where you can attend a Da Vinci Tour or stroll around at your leisure.
Edinburgh / Mid Lothian area
Edinburgh is just 10 mins by car, here you can find fabulous shops including Harvey Nichols, Jenners, Louis Vuitton, Armani etc, the castle can be visited all year round as can many other tourist attractions.
The area is ideally situated for touring the stunning Scottish Borders as well as the Highlands, There are plenty of activities to be found from cycling, horse riding, skiing, golf, swimming, spas, shopping, fishing, hill walking and much more.

Soft linen is provided and each bed has luxury duvets,pillows and bed toppers.
All bathrooms have been fitted and fully tiles to the highest standard, all baths are jacuzzi. There are mains showers over each bath giving lovely powerful water flow. Towels are supplied for each guest, we also provide a selection of shower gels, soaps, hand cremes and baby wash if necessary.
Further details outdoors: The house has easy access for wheel chairs or the elderly however this only gives access to the ground floor, please note that although there is a toilet and we can supply beds for the ground floor, washing facilities are on the first floor. There is however a shower in the swimming pool complex on the ground floor.
