"Felt like home!"
In the middle of Edinburgh at peak festival time, it was a relief to find the owner there himself to welcome us into this lovely, quiet flat that sits up an amazing set of spiral stairs to the top floor. (Note: there is a bit of climbing to come & go from the bldg so it might be a bit challenging for those with limited mobility.) The apartment has tons of character and space plus the location is amazing with views out the front to Carlton Hill. We felt instantly at home -- everything was immaculate and there were lots of little touches (sparkling water, candies, bread & milk in the fridge, etc) to get us started. Make sure to get parking information from the owner if you plan to arrive by car -- it is in the city so some areas are permit or "pay to park" during the week. Couldn't have asked for better and will definitely rebook on our next visit to Edinburgh!
Thanks for the lovely review it's appreciated, we are glad you had a nice time at the festival, you are most welcome to stay the next time you are in Edinburgh Regards Mark

"Very enjoyable stay in a great location"
This apartment was absolutely fantastic. It was beautifully decorated, clean, well equipped and had a great view from the living room. So what you see in the photos is what you get. The location is perfect as the apartment is within walking distance from many attractions and shopping. For those wanting to use public transportation, there are many bus lines running close by. There are also plenty of good restaurants to choose from right around the corner so you can eat differently every day. The booking process with Mark was easy and he was very helpful and quick to answer our questions. Overall a truly enjoyable experience, so I highly recommend this place for your stay.
Thank you for your review. We are so glad to hear you had an enjoyable stay and we hope to welcome you back to Edinburgh in the not too distant future. Kind Regards, Mark.

"Fantastic holiday flat"
Mark and Martin are lovely hosts in a really homely flat. The flat was really comfortable, had everything we needed to feel 'home away from home', and we enjoyed the log fire tremendously. The location of the flat provided a convenient base for exploring Edinburgh and neighbouring Leith.
Thanks very much for your positive review, we are glad you had a nice time and look forward to seeing you again the next time you visit Edinburgh Regards Mark

We decided to go to Edinburgh to celebrate a special wedding anniversary and chose the apartment cos it had an open fire and it seemed reasonably priced. From the beginning, contact with the owner was excellent - Mark made himself available for whatever questions we had and met us on arrival, giving us a hand with our luggage, and advising us of the best place to park, what to visit, what restaurants were good etc. The actual apartment was well equipped, spacey with great decoration and with many original features - the fire was brill and the apartment's location was within walking distance of most tourist spots if you don't mind walking 10-15 minutes (except the castle which is a good 30 minutes up a steep hill but great if you want to get the blood pumping!) The only slight downsides were the apartment is on the third floor so lots of steps - this didn't bother us but may if you struggle with stairs - and there is no parking outside the property but, again, there is some available a short walk away. All round, we had a great time in Edinburgh and staying in this lovely apartment added to this - it was like home from home, highly recommended.
Thank you for such a positive review, we are glad you had a lovely wedding anniversary break and look forward to seeing you both again the next time you are in Edinburgh. Regards Mark

"Perfect place for us to stay in Edinburgh"
Wonderful apartment, well located and beautifully appointed. The view is worth the booking alone. Comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, smashing bathroom, why stay in a hotel when you can stay somewhere as lovely as this and please yourself. Also owner was very helpful and organised someone to be there to welcome us. Highly recommended.

"Fantastic apartment, convenient location"
What a brilliant find! I honestly can not fault this apartment. From the booking process to the standard of the accommodation everything was superb. Mark (the owner) is very fast and responsive with communication so there was not a hiccup at all with the bookings and he is quick to answer any questions you may have. The apartment itself was excellent, nicely decorated and very clean. It is also very well equipped so it was very convenient for us. Wifi service in the apartment is also superb. Another huge plus is the convenient location of the apartment. A short walk from Edinburgh Waverly train station, it is easy to find. We went trekking in the Pentland Hills and took a bus from Leopold Place (just a short walk from the apartment) straight to the Midlothian Sports Centre (where we started our trek). Very convenient and hassle free. I would highly recommend this apartment and will definitely go back when I am in Edinburgh!
