Lovely, well maintained basement flat (steep, uneven steps may make it unsuitable for some) in an ideal location. Within easy walking distance to the city centre, Botanical Gardens and close to cafes, restaurants, shops etc of the quirky Stockbridge. Very helpful and attentive owner. |

My husband, 18yr. old daughter and I stayed here for 5 days at the start of our Scottish adventure. It was a reasonable walking distance even the first day, after 24hrs. of wakefulness and a suitcase, from the train station! The apt. has everything you could need, including a dryer, which is a luxury in Scotland I discovered! We were tired, and not going out in the evening, so being abit out of the town center was no issue for us. It is in a lovely neighbourhood which on hindsight, as we drove to Sterling, I really wished I'd explored more. There are a couple of groceries nearby and afew restaurants. We ate in and were glad to be able to do that. |

I loved this modern, clean, spacious apartment. Cumberland st is a great central location. If I could just suggest a couple of things that would greatly improve this let, .....a comfortable mattress topper, better quality duvet, pillows and bed linen, also a few store cuboard essentials. I think it would then be PERFECT Response: Thank you for your kind comments and I am glad you enjoyed your stay. All bedlinen is replaced frequently and we always use quality, 100%cotton linens. The bedlinen at the time of your stay was mostly Laura Ashley or Dorma, however we have now replaced it all with more robust brands! Hope to see you back sometime and many thanks again for stay with Edinburgh Vacation Apartments |
