The front door leads into a large welcoming hallway furnished with a console table and chair off which all the rooms radiate. A traditional Edinburgh Press contains a selection of books for the entertainment of guests.

The living room is situated to the front of the property and offers breath-taking views of Edinburgh Castle through two large astragalled windows. This extremely spacious room has delightful original features including white marble fireplace and pretty Georgian cornicing. A comfortable blue sofa and two cheerful blue and white striped armchairs are grouped round a coffee table and flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD player. There is Wi-Fi internet access in the apartment and the owners have also provided an X box with a selection of games and some DVDs. In the far corner of the room there is a dining table which can seat up to 6 people and a wooden side board with lamp.

A stylish kitchen with wood floor, cream units, dark work tops and black tiles is well equipped with a gas hob and double electric oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine and Victorian airer. A small table with seating for 4 people is great for informal dining. A large storage cupboard houses iron and ironing board. A travel cot has been provided for guests travelling with a baby.

The splendid master bedroom is also situated to the front of the building and enjoys the same magnificent views. Furnished with a double bed and two pine bed side table and lamps, wardrobe and chest of drawers - there is plenty of hanging and drawer space. An original black marble fireplace has a large mirror over it.

Two further bedrooms to the rear of the property both have double beds, a bedside table, a chest of drawers and a wardrobe. Both rooms have pretty personal touches and overlook attractive rear gardens.

An internal bathroom clad luxurious limestone has bath with electric shower over and a basin with mirror over. A separate large vanity mirror and shelf provide a useful area for toiletries and cosmetics. Next door there is a separate limestone clad toilet with small wash hand basin.

We also boast a great range of museums and Art galleries as well as the Edinburgh dungeons and the ghost tours of St Mary's Close for those who like to be frightened! Of course it goes with out saying that we also have a wealth of different shops including our famous department store Jenners and Harvey Nichols as well as a great range of well known high street names and smaller boutiques.


The Grassmarket offers the visitor to Edinburgh a host of bars and restaurants, luxury shopping for cashmere and woollens as well as second hand book shops which are found just off the Grassmarket in West Port.

West Bow is in a wonderfully central spot in the Old Town close to an attractive selection of shops, bars and restaurants. Edinburgh's major attractions are all within a short walk.

"lovely apartment"

What a beautiful apartment! Great location within 15 minutes walk of the castle, Princes street and Waverley station. Lovely big rooms, all the appliances you might need, wifi, an eclectic selection of DVDs and books for the occasional rainy day. Would definitely stay here again. Two flights of stairs (one short, one longer) might make this less than ideal for people with a pram or mobility issues.
