Atholl Brae and Blair Angus - Royal Mile Apartments

Luxury self-catering accommodation that competes with the best 4 star hotels in Edinburgh, which is accessible and welcoming. The luxury self-catering apartments allow families to stay together, safely, without compromising on style, and the option to cook for yourself, if you wish. (Although there is a fabulous selection of restaurants and cafe and all kind of pubs and clubs very nearby).

Luxury for 4 adults per apartment, privacy for 2 couples, comfort for up to 6 guests (cots and folding beds are available for children) - we're pleased to have been awarded 4 star status by Visit Scotland. The apartments are located in a purpose-built modern building, down a little lane, literally a stone's throw from the Royal Mile. The Wynd itself comes through a tight tunnel at one end, so there is very little passing traffic and it's generally quiet and peaceful.

Blair Angus apartment is on the ground floor with fully level access throughout; Atholl Brae apartment is reached by a short staircase to the first floor.

Each apartment provides a warm, welcoming and comfortable lounge, with a feature "living flame effect" fire and two comfortable leather settees, as well as a TV, DVD/CD player and i-pod dock. Free wi-fi.

The fully fitted kitchens, with dining areas, are off the lounge.

Both bedrooms are accessed from the hallway, as is the main bathroom. All of the beds have high quality,comfortable mattresses. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, a fitted wardrobe and an en-suite with a shower, toilet and wash-hand basin.

The second bedroom has twin beds, which may on request be fitted together. Again, there is a fitted wardrobe.

The family bathroom has a bath with a shower over as well as a toilet and wash hand basin.

The apartments are well insulated and warm - the heating is effective and the showers powerful. (We also provide a tower fan cooler for the warmest of days and nights.)

Edinburgh's truly a city with something for everyone - fantastic historical locations, sports facilities, cultural visits, castles, lochs, museums and galleries, whisky tasting - readily available nearby - you could literally walk to any of these from either the Atholl Brae or Blair Angus - Royal Mile apartments. (And we'll be delighted to advise and direct you, too!)

The Lothians region

Just down a little cobble wynd off the Royal MIle, a luxurious apartment, within a very comfortable modern bloack awaits you. There is almost no passing traffic, so the location is generally peaceful, but ideally located - literally 2 minutes'walk - off the Royal Mile , which is a centuries old road, linking the magnificent Edinburgh Castle to the the fabulous Holyrood Palace. (one of the Queen's homes and lived in from time to time by the Queen herself and the rest of the Royal Family when they are in Edinburgh). The Queen's grand-daughter, Zarah Phillips was married recently in the kirk across the road.

Many of Edinburgh's other major attractions are within comfortable walking distance, including the newly re-furbished Royal Museum of Scotland, and Dynamic Eartth, and the Scottish National Art Galleries.

The is also a fantastic variety of restaurants and bars to suit all taste and pockets.

There are many festivals in Edinburgh, throughout the year, including the world famous Edinburgh International Festival, the Fringe and the Tattoo, and the New Year festivities, at the end of December.

Eay walking distance to many historic buildings and attractions, inlcuding the Palace of Holyroodhouse, Edinburgh Castle, the Museum of Scotland and the Scottish National Art Gallery.

Shops, restaurants, bars, night clubs a-plenty

Edinburgh is a green city and there are many parks - The Queens Park, is within easy walking distance from the apartment - it has several lochs, a ruined castle and Arthur's Seat to climb, for fabulous panoramic views.
