Getting to Scotland's capital city couldn't be easier. You can arrive by plane into Edinburgh from most European and International cities. The train station is only a moments walk from the house and trains arrive every hour from UK cities. Buses are also a great way to get to Edinburgh by ensuring that you see some of the beautiful Scottish scenery on the way. The house is located so close that you can walk from any arrival spot within the city centre to your home within ten minutes. Car hire companies are located both at the airport and also within the city so organising to get around both within the city and further afield is very easy.

Had to find somewhere to stay for myself, wife, 3 grown up children and their partners for a wedding in George St. This could not have been handier. The house is beautifully presented with quality furnishings and bedding, but retains many original features. One of the kids said that it would be a great place to have a family Christmas with its vast sitting room and dining table for 10. All you need to bring is some food, but M&S are just around the corner so you can buy all you need from there. Being able to park the car behind the house is an added bonus although after you arrive, you may not have to use the car again as you are so central. WiFi access kept all the iPad users happy. Expect some night time noise from the street, but Hill Street is not as busy as you would expect. |

The house and facilities were brilliant and it was so centrally located. The shops and castle were just round the corner and Old Town is about a 10 minute walk. We all loved everything about it and actually stayed in more than we normally would as it was so lovely and cosy. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking big meals etcand there was a bathroom in each room. It is a perfect place for groups of friends or families. There was no fault at all with this place from any of the group and we want to go again. Only practical thing would be it is not suitable for people with wheelchairs etc as sitting room is on the first floor and kitchen on 2nd. |
