East Claremont Street is an attractive cobbled street presenting fine examples of the diversity in architecture within the city. From the street there is a fine view of Edinburgh castle's esplanade elevation (great for the fireworks display) and Princes Street is mere 0.6 miles away.

The Lothians region
Edinburgh is famous for many of it's historic buildings known the world over including Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace. A recent addition is the New Scottish Parliment Building set in the wonderful Holyrood Park. Holyrood Park itself contains Arthurs Seat (an extinct volcano) which attracts a large number of runners and hill walkers daily exploring the wonderful views of the city to be had from this historic mound.
A highlight of in the year is the Edinburgh Festival which is one of the the worlds largest arts festival and is hosted during the month of August. Running similtaneously are the Edinburgh Fringe, the Edinburgh Film and Edinburgh Jazz festivals lightening up the city for a prolonged arts experience everyone enjoys.
The apartment is close to all city centre amenities. The Palace, Castle, Scottish Parliament and famous Princess Street are within easy walking distance and simililarly the beautiful Botanical Gardens, Calton hill and the Royal Yacht Brittania.
The accommodation is very close to the train and bus station with links to the airport allowing easy access to other parts of the UK.

"Very comfortable, spacious, very well equipped apartment. Had everything we needed and more."
Arrived to a warm welcome, guided around the apartment and shown where everything was. Despite being in the basement of a tenement (shared access via stairs) the apartment is suprisingly bright and airy. The twin bedded and bunk bed rooms look out to a shared garden on the same level at the rear as does the lounge / diner. There is a bathroom, shower room and kitchen that are to the inside of the apartment without windows but some natural light to kitchen via glass bricks between it and dining area. Double and King sized bedrooms to the front are well lit by windows to large gratings at ground level. There is also a small utility / laundry room with washing machine and condensing tumble dryer. The apartment was nicely decorated and very clean throughout and was very well equipped with everything we needed and lots more. Located about 15 minutes downhill walk from Princes St. there seemed to be plenty of buses from the end of the street but we never needed them. About 5 minutes walk to local restaurants and pubs, and 5 minutes the other way to a supermarket, local shop very handy at the end of the street. We really enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the apartment,

Helpful and accomodating letters- including flexible check in and departure.
Entertainment items for big and little kids plus home comforts in a clean and quiet street. This is a great place to stay for large groups or families looking for a location near to the city centre and attractions.

"Fantastic xmas stay with family"
We had a family get together here over the Christmas period. On arrival the owner gave us a tour of the apartment and made us feel very welcome. We had been travelling all day and it was wonderful to be able to make tea/coffee as soon as we arrived.
We were staying over Christmas and there was a Christmas tree, a box of crackers and a big bottle of bubbles in the fridge! Christmas dinner was very successfully cooked in the apartment, the owner was extremely generous and helpful in giving us any extra utensils/equipment that we required.
Overall we had a wonderful stay here, the owner went way beyond our expectations and I really don't think you could find better anywhere!
The apartment itself was spacious, clean, warm and a short walk from anything we wanted to do in Edinburgh.
