This late 19th century property is situated over first and second floors with stunning views over two of Edinburgh's finest Georgian streets. Accommodation comprises an impressive drawing room with dining area and fireplace, four bedrooms (each with a double bed and the 3 larger bedrooms have an additional single day bed), two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen with range cooker, microwave, dishwasher and well stocked with kitchen utensils. Additional features include Cable TV, DVD, and video (with a selection of CDs, videos and DVDs), books (for adults and children), wireless internet connection , telephone and a selection of board games. There is a combined washer/dryer and an ironing board and iron for guest's usage.

This property has many original features throughout. It is the perfect place to relax, in the perfect city for your holiday.

All utilities are included and we provide towels and bed linen for guests.

Parking is available for free outside the property from 5.30pm to 8.30am Monday to Friday and all weekend. There is some limited free parking close by and additional parking a 15 minute walk from the property.

However the true benefit of The Upper Villa is it's closeness to the city centre as guests can walk to Princes St in 15 minutes or there are excellent bus services close at hand for those with tired feet!

The Edinburgh region

Edinburgh is a wonderful city to visit. The famous castle sitting atop volcanic rock is the iconic symbol of Edinburgh, but there is so much more to see and do. Culture lovers flock to Edinburgh in August to enough the famous arts festival, and the Fringe festival. In addition the Jazz festival in July/August, the Film festival in June the Science Festival in April/May and the Winter Festival - Dec-Jan make Edinburgh a buzzing place to visit throughout the year.

Lovers of art will enjoy the national galleries on The Mound, the Gallery of Modern Art and Dean Gallery in Belford Road and the National Portrait Gallery on Queen Street (a short walk from the apartment.)

If you like walking, the views from Calton Hill are stunning, further afield guests can enjoy the walk up Arthur's Seat for more breathtaking views of Edinburgh and its surroundings. The Water of Leith is a lovely tranquil walk through the history of Edinburgh's industrial heritage.

For shoppers the apartment is close to St James Centre (John Lewis) and Multrees Walk (Harvey Nichols) and Princes Street Edinburgh's main shopping thoroughfare is a short walk away and if you want a break from the shops Princes Street Gardens are a lovely spot to sit and watch the world go by..

The Stockbridge area of Edinburgh is a vibrant area with a great selection of bars, restaurants and shops for guests to enjoy.

"Amazing accommodation"
