They say every man's home is his castle but this has never been truer than in the case of the decadent 'Wee Palace' apartment, which is brand new to the holiday market. The Wee Palace, located in an historic and attractive building in the bustling Grassmarket in the heart of the Old Town, has what we believe is the best view of Edinburgh Castle. And, befitting to its proximity to the historic royal home, its interior is palatial, including a grand four poster bed. This romantic, one bedroom apartment exudes charm and character from every nook and cranny.

The opulent four-poster, high quality pocket-sprung mattress, the best of Egyptian cotton bed linen, cosy bathrobes, fluffy white bath towels, feature fireplace, sumptuous curtains, flat screen TV and DVD player, chandeliers, iPod docking station, designer furniture and accessories, along with the well-fitted shower-room with Molton Brown toiletries, all give you a feeling of a boutique hotel suite.

But the Wee Palace apartment also gives you the added benefit of independence and flexibility. Although there are a huge variety of restaurants in which to wine and dine right on your doorstep, you also have the option of cooking your own romantic meal in the fully fitted contemporary kitchen, and then sitting down to dine with the best view in town, overlooking the Castle.

The apartment is located in the historic market square in the heart of the Old Town (the Grassmarket) and is surrounded by iconic landmarks and attractions. The square, which is a vibrant and popular meeting place for visitors and locals alike, features independent shops selling everything from designer and vintage fashion to artisan foods. With its many restaurants and traditional pubs, the Wee Palace is perfectly placed in the heart of Edinburgh's Old Town.

Mary Queen of Scots, who lived at Edinburgh Castle and gave birth to James VI there, spent most of her childhood in France. To reflect this, you will also find a touch of French charm adding glamour to the Scottish cosiness of the Wee Palace apartment.

Whilst the Wee Palace has the most commanding views of the Castle, its third (and top) floor position means you can escape from the hustle and bustle of the medieval square when you want to really relax. (There are three flights of stairs to the top floor, no lift).

For your convenience, you will benefit from free wifi and access to the apartment is via a key within a keybox so you have the flexibility of letting yourself in at a time that suits you. Whilst the Grassmarket is largely pedestrianised with limited parking, if you arrive by car we can offer you free parking at a private car park for the duration of your stay. Whilst this is a 17 minutes walk away, you will find you won't need a car when you are staying in the heart of the city.

With the home of former kings and queens as your neighbour, it is fitting that you also experience some of the grandeur of royalty by staying at the Wee Palace. This luxury accommodation offers you everything you would expect from a five star hotel and more – but not at a queen's ransom!

A stay in Edinburgh doesn't get much grander or more comfortable, than this.

The Wee Palace is brought to you by the same owners/interior designers as the five star Old School apartment at Holyrood Park in Edinburgh, which has attracted rave reviews from people around the world and a 100% rating on Trip Advisor.

"Beautiful apartment in a perfect location."

I have just returned home from a wonderful break at The Wee Palace and I can honestly say it is the best holiday accommodation I have ever experienced. From the initial booking onwards everything was straightforward; communication was easy and Gillian kindly provided restaurant recommendations and local information ahead of our visit.
The location of the apartment on Grassmarket is very convenient. We took the tram from the airport, but after that we were mostly able to walk to everywhere we wanted to visit. The only bus we used was the minibus which runs from the Scottish National Gallery to the Modern Art galleries. (Free, but suggested donation of £1)
The actual apartment exceeded our expectations; it is stunning, even better than it looks in the photos. The little touches make such a difference and everything from the soft furnishings to the modern appliances are top quality. The four poster bed is roomy and elegant and it is also the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. The apartment is spotlessly clean and had everything you could possibly need. The interior is designed in a way that makes the most of original features, but is also modern. We especially liked the lighting and the feature fire.
We look forward to visiting Edinburgh again as soon as we can, and I wouldn't stay anywhere other than The Wee Palace. The problem now is that the bar has been set so high that all future holiday rentals will be likely to disappoint!

"Perfect in every way!"

Booked three nights at The Wee Palace to celebrate our Wedding anniversary- loved the look of the apartment and it's location in Grassmarket, plus the reviews were fantastic.
Well, I feel like perfection is an understatement for this apartment! The place is immaculate and has everything you could ever need for a fabulous break in Edinburgh. The decor is outstanding (can you please decorate our house?!), and the little touches such as the welcome message on the chalk board as we entered, to the chocolates on the bed and acknowledgment of our anniversary made it for us. Don't get me started on the bed too... Literally like sleeping on a cloud!
Bang slap in the middle of Grassmarket the location is perfect for exploring, and it was such a beautiful haven to return to after a day sightseeing.
We had a trip to remember and will most definitely be returning. Thank you for the (more than) perfect stay, Gillian & Ewen!
