The apartment is on the ground floor and offers clean and comfortable accommodation for up to 4 people at very reasonable rates – it also benefits from private garage parking for 1 car. All the rooms radiate off a spacious central hall way and comprise:

An attractive well equipped kitchen with wooden flooring, which has a high level electric double oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, and washer dryer, the owner has provided ample cook ware, glass cutlery and china so that preparing a meal in the apartment is convenient and simple.

The pleasant living/dining room with bay window is simply furnished with a sofa bed, for flexibility of sleeping arrangements (please request this at the time of booking), arm chairs, a TV and a DVD Player. A selection of books has been provided by the owner. There is a large wooden dining table with seating for up to 6 people.

The spacious master bedroom and a second, smaller, double bedroom are next to one another and have a quiet and peaceful ambiance. Both are furnished with double beds and offer good wardrobe space.

The bathroom has a bath with shower over, basin and WC.

The Lothians region

Edinburgh offers a wide range of activities as befits Scotland's capital city and is wonderful to visit at any time of year; it is small and intimate enough to allow the visitor to wander through its streets absorbing its architecture and atmosphere.

The city has medieval origins and many of its best known sights are to be found in the Old Town around the Royal Mile. It also, by contrast, has one of the largest areas of Georgian buildings in the world and these are to be found in what is called the New Town.

Edinburgh

The Royal Mile runs from Edinburgh Castle at one end down to Holyrood Palace at the bottom. Many of Edinburgh’s major tourist attractions are to be found in this vicinity though half the charm of this vibrant part of town is to explore the city’s ancient medieval closes which lead off the main thoroughfare.

This area with its medieval origins also extends to the Grassmarket and Victoria Street which have an array of enticing shops, bars and restaurants. Visit Gladstone's Land, Holyrood Abbey and Palace (not forgetting the Queen's Gallery which hosts exhibitions from the Royal Collection), Dynamic Earth, the controversial Scottish Parliament building and John Knox's House.

Further out of the centre a trip to the royal yacht"Britannia" which is moored in Leith is always popular. Edinburgh Zoo, with the famous penguin parade, is a must for families with children.
