The Lothians region

Having chosen Edinburgh as a destination you will be aware of what it has to offer in terms of history, culture and the arts and the location of this apartment is ideal if you want to get some peace from the noisy city centre but be close enough to access the main tourist attractions and night life.

The 2014 Commonwealth Games Diving competition takes place at the Royal Commonwealth Pool between 30th July and 3rd August and of course the famous Edinburgh International Festival and Fringe takes place in August.

Although Edinburgh is not well known for its beach, Portobello Promenade is easily reached from the apartment and with lovely sands, some good pubs and cafes, it makes a lovely makes for a lovely alternative day out in Edinburgh. Unfortunately the sunshine is not guaranteed.

Edinburgh

The main arterial route in to the city is just a few minutes' walk away in London Road. From there you can get many buses in to the city centre or out to East Lothian. Holyrood Palace, the Parliament and the Royal Mile are only a few minutes' walk through the park. Waverley Station is accessed from Calton Road just a few minutes drive or a short taxi ride away. On your doorstep is Arthur Seat. May we suggest that you find time during your visit to Edinburgh to climb to the top, if you area able. The summit is approximately 30-40 mins walk and the views from the top are spectacular. If you prefer, you can drive half way up to Dunsapie Loch and walk the final section from there.

All of the main attractions at the foot of the Royal Mile are easily reached by walking though the park making your day out all the more pleasurable.

"Nice apartment, nice location, nice owners"

We stayed there for 2 nights in July, we were 4 adults (my wife and I in one bedroom and my parents in law in the other rooms. We enjoyed the stay very much.
The apartment is clean and has everything needed for a short stay. We really enjoyed the high ceiling of the apartment.
The owners communicate effectively. I had quick replies to my emails beforehand.
We communicated by texts on the day of the arrival and the owners handed us the keys in the late afternoon. The owners were really willing to offer us a pleasant stay.
On the last day, we left the apartment and left the key in the letter box.
The apartment is well located. We went to the Edinburgh Castle by foot from the apartment in around 30 minutes.
We parked our car on the street just in front of the apartment and left it there during our stay.
