"A home from home in Edinburgh"
Blackford Lodge is a great home from home, with everything that you are likely to need. The house is spacious, warm and well furnished with wonderful views across Edinburgh. It is located in a very pleasant area from which buses into the city centre run every 15 minutes during the day.
We had a great week in February, helped by the dry weather and the great accommodation.
Muriel was most welcoming and helpful.
Although not a problem for us, the house is approached by external steps and would not be suitable for someone with mobility problems.

"What a view!"
We have just returned from a week at Blackford Lodge and we have enjoyed our week very much. There were six of us, two families, so we needed the four bedrooms, there was another double bed in the kit… More

"Great place to stay"
The property was luxurious as advertised, tidy, clean, beautiful and well maintained. Muriel is very kind and she checked on our well-being before, during and after our stay. Garden is beautiful and we would have spent more time in there, had it not been so cold and rainy.
Blackford Lodge is located on the hill so walking up and down may be a bit of a challenge for elderly people without a car. Bus stop and a small grocery store nearby.
