A few minutes walk will take you to the renowned 'Pleasance Theatre' which offers fabulous evening entertainment as well as some of the most popular Festival and Fringe shows. The area is surrounded by shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants and for recreation there is easy access to the Queen's Park and a wide range of local amenities and recreational facilities.

The apartment is fully equipped for up to four adults plus one baby, with one double bedroom with zip/link beds (can be king size or twin), a double sofa bed in the living room and cot and highchair.

There is ample storage for all with two roomy fitted wardrobes and a hall cupboard for suitcase storage.

Gas, electricity, towels and linen are all included in the price. Washing up liquid, dishtowels, loo roll and washing machine tablets will also be provided.

The apartment looks out over the Salisbury Crags, Dynamic Earth and the Palace of Holyroodhouse from the bedroom window, with the living room and kitchen having an open aspect over Newington.

The Royal Mile, Dynamic Earth,The Scottish Parliament and Holyrood House are within 5-10 minutes walk from the apartment. Edinburgh castle can be reached within 10-15 minutes on foot.

A designated parking space can be made available. Free on-street parking is available nearby within 20 minutes walk. More information about parking can be given on request.

At its heart is The Edinburgh Festival, a cultural explosion which takes place in the city in August each year. It is made up of a variety of festivals and events including the International Festival, The Fringe Festival, Edinburgh Book Festival, Edinburgh Military Tattoo, Jazz Festival and Edinburgh Mela.

Later in the year is Edinburgh's month-long Christmas celebration which culminates with the world famous Hogmanay party.

Spring time sees Ceilidh Culture, the Science Festival and the Edinburgh Film Festival providing the entertainment while the Children's Festival starts the summer.

Edinburgh has strong road and rail links and is the perfect place from which to explore the rest of Scotland


The apartment is 2 minutes walk from one of the most renowned fringe theatre venues, the Pleasance Theatre. During the festival season, it hosts day and night performances from worldwide comedians plus many kids' daytime events and shows.

Also on the doorstep are the Salisbury Crags, from which you can see all of Edinburgh and the Firth of Forth.

Within 10 minutes walk north-eastwards you'll find The National Museum of Scotland, Greyfriars Tolbooth and The Meadows (a great park for kids); and north through Holyrood park you'll find Dynamic Earth, the Royal Mile, Holyrood House and the Scottish Parliament.

"Near by city, near by hiking"

"Handy Location for exploring Edinburgh"

My wife and I rented this property for 5 nights to rediscover Edinburgh and also to visit Muirfield for the British Open Golf. The apartment was comfortable, although the warm weather required the windows to be open when inside and, therefore, the traffic noise was quite significant in the living room.
The apartment is well situated with the Royal Mile just a few minutes walk and several restaurants easily accessible. The Tesco Metro just 100 yards away was very convenient.
We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the apartment to others. However, you need to like walking and be able to climb stairs.

Without appearing disparaging of our wonderful capital city, it's not often that we have cause to repent the sunshine and its necessity of having windows open to cool the apartment! (Just as well the bedroom is so quiet at the back!)

"Felt like home"

My dad was travelling to Edinburgh to attend my husbands graduation. To make everything easy for everyone, I arranged everyone's accommodation visiting from overseas (US). My dad being quite discerning (some would say picky!) and having never been abroad, it was important that I find a place that is quality (but not pricey), convenient to city centre (but not noisy) and above all- no fuss. This holiday let ticked all the boxes. Thanks to Susie, the booking process was easy, checking-in and checking-out was straight forward, and returning the deposit was prompt. According to my dad (who is not so computer savvy so he has asked me to include this in the review), the flat 'felt like home', which means a lot because he is such a home-body and his creature comforts are very important to him. The only minor complaint was that the bedroom curtain would not block out the midnight sun completely and it appears as though prior guests had attempted to fix the problem themselves. He wasn't that big an issue for him so didn't want to bother Susie about it. There was one funny problem that we did have to contact Susie for- it seems as though a previous guest had removed the instructions for the wifi in the welcome pack- but Susie was able to text the code instantly so no problem. Just shows you how much she wants you to enjoy a care-free stay. My dad says the next time he visits he definitely wants to stay here again and Susie advised there are discounts for repeat visits, so all the better!

"Cosy apartment with on of the best views of Edinburgh!"

It was my first time in Scotland, I stayed here for 5 nights with my parents. The apartment is very well located, in the city centre yet in a quite area. It is a 10-15 minute walk to Princess Street. The bedroom window has a spectacular view of the Arthur's seat. The apartment was very functional and comfortable to stay. I would definitely recommend it. The host, Susie is very friendly and helpful !

"Nice flat close to the city center"

We rented the apartment for a week early in November and were happy with it. It is approximately a 10-minute walk to the Royal Mile which makes it quite easy to explore the city. The apartment is confortable and cosy.

"Very Nice stay"

We stayed there for 2 or 3 days. It is like a home away from home. This place has everything you need. You just need to bring your toilet paper. The views from both the front and bedroom windows are amazing and inspired us to climb Arthur's seat (i think it is called). We were able to visit à lot of the city because the flat is so well situated! Very happy about our pick, and also for the Nice welcome gift from Suzie. Would love to come back!

"Lovely apartment, well equipped to see the sights of Edinburgh"

We had a wonderful time in Edinburgh and loved this apartment. My husband and I were travelling with our 1yr old and right from the first enquiry through to our actual visit, Susie was very considerate with our needs.

The apartment had everything we could possibly need and was even bigger than we were expecting. It was also really close to everything in the city.

Would recommend this to anyone wanting somewhere modern and clean to stay.

I'm so glad we kitted the apartment out with the cot and high chair. We remember travelling with young kids as well. Thanks for your considerate review.
