Edinburgh's weather can be unpredictable and during the summer it is advisable to bring a waterproof jacket. However it can be reasonably warm - up to about 24 degrees to pack that T-shirt too!

With its fantastic sightseeing, fabulous shopping, world renowned galleries and museums, New Year Revels, award winning restaurants, other Scottish tourist attractions such as Rosslyin Chapel and world famous golf courses within easy reach, Edinburgh is the ultimate city break destination.

Our Lynedock Place apartment is ideally located just 5 mins from Princes Street and George Street which are Edinburgh's main shopping areas and have department stores such as Harvey Nichols, Jenners and John Lewis. If shopping isn't your thing these areas also have a multitude of restaurants and bars to suit all budgets.

In addition the Botanical Gardens are a short walk from Lynedock Place and offer beautiful scenery in both the summer and winter. You can also take a bus ride around the city on one of the famous bus tours which will help you get accustomed to the city and find out about it's fascinating history.

Edinburgh Zoo is a great place to entertain kids and adults alike and is easily accessible by car and bus. You will also be a short distance for Edinburgh Castle, Princes St gardens and the Scottish Parliament.

During the winter festive season Princes Street is the location of a large German Market with gluwein, stollen and a large ice rink!
