The Water of Leith Walkway runs close to the apartment and there is private access to the grassy banks of the river. Within easy strolling distance, are the (free) Royal Botanical Gardens, numerous paths & cycle ways along the Water of Leith making exploration of the local area safe and picturesque. The energetic can walk along the pathway down to Leith or to the Modern Art Gallery.

Edinburgh

Lively Stockbridge is sited at the north-eastern end of the Georgian New Town; offering a sophisticated choice of good cafes and restaurants, great delicatessens and delightful shops selling everything from clothes, jewellery to arts and crafts. Princes Street is an easy 10-minute walk, making this an ideal spot from which to enjoy the numerous delights of a city break in Edinburgh. Good public transport links run nearby for excursions further afield.

"Nice quiet flat, walking distance from Edinburgh town centre"

We stayed here for the festival, choice of this flat partly because it had a free parking space, and the location was quiet but within walking distance of the centre of Edinburgh. It's a 20 minute walk to the Royal Mile, but also on the bus route. The flat is modern, not so much character as some Edinburgh flats, but everything there and working,and you don't get parking with the older flats. The TV is very small, but has satellite, so the teenagers were happy. Comfortable without being luxurious! Location good, shops in the area, Botanic garden close by.
