This Grade II listed building dates back to 1304 in places with additional buildings added in both the 17th and 18th Century. The large apartment sleeps up to six people with the unique opportunity to rent out the main Jacobean style dining room for parties of up to 15! Rose Cottage can be booked with West Wing to accommodate up to nine guests, ideal for a gathering of friends. The extensive grounds, lawns and woodland provide a haven for both children and adults with a lovely three mile walk from the Hall across the river Petteril to open countryside.

Positioned just on the outskirts of the historic city of Carlisle Newbiggin Hall is easy to access and makes a great base for exploring much of the Lake District, the Borders and indeed the Eden Valley. The nearest pub is within a mile with further amenities, attractions and places of interest to be found in Carlisle. Head down the M6 to Penrith, once the capital of Cumbria it now provides visitors with a good mix of shops and historical sites including the castle ruins. Travel beyond Penrith to Ullswater to experience the very best of outdoor life in the Lake District. From sailing and mountain biking to hiking and wildlife watching you will never be short of things to see and do around the second largest lake in the Lakes.
